Five Biggest Life Lessons learnt by a Cancer Survivor from her experience!

On my recent road trip, my wifey shared this TEDx video which she has seen three years back, it changed her life in a way, am sharing the excerpts of the video. * First Lesson learnt was that the most important thing we should focus awareness on is to Love yourself. * When we love ourself we value ourself, when we value ourself we teach people on how to treat us. U don't find any need to bully or control other people or vice versa. Loving yourself is as important as loving everybody else. And the more you love yourself, the more love you have to give to other people. * The Second lesson learnt by her was to Live life fearlessly. * We are brought up on a diet of fear, we are taught to fear everything, we fear eating the wrong food, we fear displeasing people, we fear failing and most of us are brought up fearing everything. People think that fear keeps them safe, actually, that's not true. Love keeps you safe when you love yourself and when you love others, you ensure that ...

The wheel of modern education: Self-Education, My Tribe and Deep Immersion!

Last week I came across this interesting TEDx video, which set me thinking. I am sharing the excerpts of the video. Many of the interesting jobs today that we have, didn't exist five years ago. What do we do? We don't live in the age of standardization. We live in the age of customization, and everybody in whatsoever age profile he/she may be can teach themselves. No two people are the same and neither should be their education journey. We all want to be unique, at least the original copy, right? And we are unique. Start designing your unique Self-education, and it's never been easier. Did you know that all classes that MIT students are taking today, you can go online and take the same classes for free? Not just MIT. You can go on edx.org, there's MIT, Harvard, Berkeley, some of the best universities in the world, pick the course you like. Take them. Turn your passion into your professions. You can do that. *Start educating yourself, and that's the first key.* ...

How making necessary endings can radically improve your quality of life?

We’ve all been there, stuck in a rut. Whether it’s a stale relationship or unsatisfying job, it can be difficult to put an end to what we don’t like. Sometimes it’s important that we relieve ourselves of unwanted baggage so we can live fuller lives. Whether that means closing down a struggling business, quitting your unsatisfying job or ending a relationship. Like it or not, endings are necessary, whether at work, in business, or in our personal lives. At some time or other, we’ve all hit that wall. We’re facing the end, and there’s nothing to be done. It’s a universal experience, and it can be galling. But it’s important to remember that endings serve a purpose. They mean we will eventually thrive in professional and personal settings. They are, in fact, necessary. What’s true in business/work is also true in our personal lives. Endings are inevitable, but they mean we can move on. The lesson: good cannot begin until not good ends. It’s common to think of endings as negative occurr...

What "I'm Very Busy" Really Means?

They say busy is the new black, but are people as busy as they’re letting on? Here’s what I’m Very Busy really means. We’ve all been there. You’re putting together an event, or trying to catch up with someone you haven’t seen in awhile, or trying to make an appointment, and just trying to lock it all down. Put it in the calendar, tee up the appointment, make it happen. But alas, the person or people you’re trying to lock down respond with that line that we use all too often nowadays – “ I’m Very Busy” . What got me thinking on these lines recently is how many times I’ve heard this expression used in the workplace. Let’s be honest, it’s not just others pull this line out. We use it a lot ourselves. I wonder how many times someone has tried to catch up with me or get me to do something and I’ve responded with this statement. So when people say “ I’m Very Busy ”, and when I say it, we could truly justify using it as the reason “why not” for a lot of areas of our lives. There are lots...
