Do Good, Help Others, Give Back!

Image
For the last few months I have been spending a lot of time with my Team at Jeevitam, working on a Social Innovation which probably will help Non Resident Indians & Family Offices to Design their Philanthropy. It will help them Do Good, Help Others and Give Back to their Nation, to the individuals, to the Community at large, to their Alma Mater and to the People of the place they belong to. While working on it I had the opportunity to go deep into Why Doing Good, Helping Others & Giving Back is and has to be an integral part of our lives? Doing Good from what I understood is an intrinsic part of the human experience, deeply intertwined with our sense of community, religion and empathy. Helping Others is deeply rooted in Hindu Mythology and Philosophy as a means to fulfill one's duty, accumulate positive karma, and foster spiritual growth, while also promoting social harmony and selflessness. At its core, Giving Back is an expression of our gratitude for the support and oppor...

Have the Courage!

Image
This week while seeing one of the serials on OTT, the leading Actress had some inspirational lines to share on 'Courage'. As per her, to survive in this world, we all need Courage, Guts. Courage to follow unconventional paths in life. Courage to be vulnerable. Courage to let go of what doesn't feel right. Courage to put yourself out there and take chances. Courage to settle for nothing less than you deserve. Courage to always go after what you really, really want. I am totally in Sync with the Inspirational lines on Courage shared by her. Courage for me is indeed a valuable attribute that can be very helpful in navigating life's challenges. I believe it can help us overcome fear, take risks, and face difficult situations with confidence and determination. My Father has not been keeping well the whole of this week and I realised that having courage to face these difficult times can be particularly important to push past obstacles. Having the courage to follow unconventio...

Let's Collaborate!

Image
This week our Startup Jeevitam leveraged our existing Partner Ecosystem to add another dimension to help the Vulnerable Segments in their Social & Financial Inclusion, at Scale which is Big and Impact which is unprecedented. I believe if we wish to Solve a Problem of Scale, it's important for us to Collaborate. The problem of helping Vulnerable Segments in their Financial & Social Inclusion is so Big, it needs Government, Academia, Skilling Universe, Corporates/Startups/MSMEs and Philanthropy Organisations to join hands for the required Impact. I keep saying that there are so many stakeholders doing such meaningful work, but they are limited in Scale, I call them 'Islands of Success'. I believe it is important for us to Collaborate, to question the status quo and to come out with Innovative Solutions to Solve Big Problems. I keep saying Let's Collaborate to do Something Impactful (Kuch Acchaa Karte Hain), Let's Collaborate to do Something Big (Kuch Bada Kar...

Success is the Best Revenge against the Detractors!

Image
In the journey towards success, we inevitably encounter individuals who, despite presenting a friendly facade, engage in behind-the-back criticism. This week, I found myself privy to such detractors. Everyone harbors dreams and aspirations, yet not everyone in our circle may champion our cause. Some may harbor jealousy or insecurity, projecting their fears onto us. The fear of failure, both for themselves and possibly vicariously for us, might drive them to discourage our pursuit of ambitious dreams. Additionally, there's a subset that simply lacks belief in our capabilities, constrained by their own limited perceptions. When our goals deviate from societal norms, it invites resistance from those who struggle to grasp the unconventional. However, the sweetest revenge against these detractors is the relentless pursuit of our dreams, proving that success is the most potent response to skepticism and misunderstanding. The whispers of doubt can either cripple us or propel us forward. I...
