The Great Reset!

The present ongoing crisis has put the way We Work and Live On Reset Mode. In the initial days of the outbreak, the key focus of everyone was on safety and wellbeing, then it shifted to transitioning to a new way of working & living remotely, and now as we realize the long term impact of the ongoing crisis, the focus has now shifted to planning for the future. In many ways, this entire pandemic experience we have all gone through for the last few months has been a big learning experience for all of us. A crisis of this scale has reordered the way we work and live in many dramatic ways. It’s clear to me we are in the middle of The Great Reset, a New Way of Thinking About the Way We Work & Live. In my view, this crisis is also giving us the opportunity to Reimagine the Way we Work & Live. I believe our usual ways of doing things are changing fast – irreversibly, forever, and maybe for the better. Also, the search for different answers has begun and a new kind of normal is qui...

Think Big!

This week I had spent time with College Students who have so much energy but did not know what to do for their Livelihood because of the ongoing pandemic. We all decided to launch a Student Movement 'Ab Har Student Banega Atmanirbhar', essentially a movement wherein we are trying to Reimagine the Existing Outdated Campus Placement System and help Students find work. While setting targets on how many students we should have as part of the movement, I shared with them the Power of 10X and how it has shaped our Startup Journey at Jeevitam. The 10X Rule essentially says that we should set targets for ourselves that is 10X greater than what we believe we can achieve and we should take actions that are 10X greater than what we believe is necessary to achieve our goals.  I firmly believe the biggest mistake most of us make in life is not setting goals high enough and taking massive actions to fulfill our true potential. I shared with the Students my experience of working in Largest Pr...

Year 2020 is Year of Survival and Go Digital!

Image
Lockdown was declared by the Governments with the onset of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Overnight everyone was forced to stay at home and this also forced everyone to Go DigitalPhysical Meetings got replaced with online meetings, seminars got replaced with webinars, office work got shifted to ‘Work from Home’. A Digital Transition started happening in the way we work and live. Students started attending online classes, doctors started with telemedicine, restaurants became cloud kitchens, everyday household Shopping became online, every possible product and services started getting booked online and got delivered at home. New Digital Normal got established. However, everyone did not accept these overnight changes easily and there was a lot of resistance from many. Few waited for everything to go back to the traditional ways. They are also now slowly accepting that these changes are here to stay for some time at least and they have no other option but to Go Digital. In our Startup Jeev...

Am I Doing The Right Thing?

Image
Add caption We all are going through very uncertain times, things are changing fast and there is no precedent to this ongoing crisis. And in such uncertain times, decision making becomes tough for many as they keep asking themselves whether they are doing the right thing. My daughter who is planning to launch a Virtual Event soon keeps checking with me whether she is doing the right thing. Our clients who are buying our Innovative Technology keep checking with us whether they are taking the right decision. Students I am talking to keep checking whether they are doing the right thing while choosing the livelihood options. In our Startup Jeevitam, I keep telling Team that there is nothing like right or wrong. If we believe in something, we are confident about it, we should do it without worrying too much of any consequences. Worst is that we will fail, but it's better than not trying and doing nothing. I keep pushing the Team to take Initiatives as they are all about doing the right ...

Nothing Can Stop What We Can Do Together!

Amid the uncertainty of the ongoing pandemic, with no clue when normalcy will return, this week Nike has dropped an ad that has left many inspired with the following powerful narration: We’re never alone. And that is our strength. Because when we’re doubted, we’ll work as one. When we’re held back, we’ll go farther. And harder. If we’re not taken seriously, we’ll prove that wrong. We know things won’t always go our way. But whatever it is, we’ll find away. And when things aren’t fair, we’ll come together for change. And no matter how bad it gets, we will always come back stronger. Because Nothing Can Stop What We Can Do Together. I could relate the above-given Narrative to our Startup Jeevitam's ongoing Journey. We believe that the problem of finding sustainable livelihood is so big that we need to Collaborate and Work Together to find Innovative Solutions. We see ourselves not alone in this Journey to help Save Livelihood. We are working with Government Bodies, Philanthropy Organi...
