Let's Collaborate!

This week again lot of time was spent by me on building new partnerships & working on collaborations. Today is the age of the remote workforce where people are working and collaborating with each other from different geographical locations. We're now expected to be collaborative, to work collaboratively, and to foster a collaborative culture. Some of us think we are doing it, or at least should be. Some of us think we don't need to or it's not worth doing. Maybe we've tried it before and it didn't work out. But I think a lot of us don't really know what it is, what's it's for, or how to do it well. Collaboration for me is a process or way of working between two or more people. We cannot accomplish all that we need to without working together, so Let's Collaborate. If you want to walk fast, walk alone. But if you want to walk far, walk together.” ~ Ratan Tata.  My Startup Journey has been a long journey and it has been really meaningful as I was ...

Is This the Best I Can Do Right Now?

This week I saw this Tedx video sent by one of my friends about Bhakti Sharma, an Open Water Swimmer who has crossed the English Channel and won a gold medal for India in an open water marathon held in Switzerland. She shared her journey on how she conquered her Internal Demons of fear and negativity that we all have inside us. These Internal Demons tell us "We're not good enough, What if we fail? What will people think?" We all have our Internal Demons, don't we? In day-to-day life, we can hide from them, behind our Work or many other distractions. But we all have to face our Internal Demons. She Says, When We can't find motivation or joy in what We are doing, all we need to ask ourselves is, "Is this the Best We can do right now?" What does not change is the voice within - that internal compass that guides us to be a better self every day.  When Steve Jobs addressed students at California’s Stanford University 2005 graduation, he shared incredible lif...

Question Everything!

This week I read through this statement and quotes which I felt were relevant in today's context where we are trying to Reimagine the world Post-crisis. 'It’s a funny thing: People are sometimes afraid to ask questions out of fear of seeming “stupid.” And yet the smartest people on the planet are often the ones who ask the most questions. Case in point: Albert Einstein.' To get a sense of how Einstein felt about questioning, just look at some of the many famous quotes from him on this subject. 'The important thing is not to stop questioning..Never lose a holy curiosity.. Don't stop to Marvel'. In the next two quotes, I really relate to myself 'It's not that I am So Smart. But I stay with the questions much longer. And. 'I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.' It is however interesting when we question everything, we are looking to gain a better understanding of everything. In our Startup Jeevitam, we are trying to disrupt the...

Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Strong. Be Happy. Be Free. Be Original. Be Yourself!

I keep saying that the ongoing crisis has given us the Opportunity to Reset the Way We Work & Live. This Anonymous quote stuck with me while We are trying to Reimagine in our Startup, Jeevitam on how the Future of Work will evolve, once this crisis gets over. As much we may like to go back to the pre-crisis way of working, however, the reality is that many things have Changed Forever. For example, Lockdown forced all of us to Work From Home. Corporates, Government & Individuals have suddenly realized Work From Home as one more option to work and its benefits. We need to Be Bold enough to Look into the Future and Design the way We Work, we at Jeevitam have decided that our Technology Team will Work from Home only. We need to be Brave enough to Take Risks in the Work We Do and allow the unexpected. We need to Be Strong enough to go through the Transition. We all need to Be Bold, Be Brave & Be Strong to look into the Future of the Work We Do. I believe the ongoing crisis ...
