What to do when you have decided to change/go for the Second Innings?
In my previous posts have written about the Second Innings, however, this has been something close to my heart as have experienced it myself and have engaged with many in the last five years on this. Recent CII HR conclave attended by me gave me three aspects to mull over & share. I shared my views on Pause to Start in the last post and today will like to revisit on the aspect of Second Innings.
Here I will like to add that when talking about change/second Innings, it's not about only Men but Women too who have spent the best part of their life being full-time Housewife's as a career and with kids growing up & responsibilities coming down, they also start looking for a change/second Innings.
When you have decided to go for a Change/Second Innings, you have to listen to Your Inner Voice. Stay with your hunch, You probably have an inner hunch as to what would interest you or what you may want to do based on your talents & experience. You’ve got to be disruptive, both in your professional and in your personal life.
- Don’t be afraid to challenge received ideas about best practices and savvy strategies, challenge the status quo.
- And don’t be afraid to wipe the slate clean and start from scratch!
- If you’re unsure of what you want to do, figure out what your unique talents are and how they could be used.
- And remember: you have to change yourself to stay relevant, don't stop learning, start acquiring new skill sets. Unlearn to learn and also continue to challenge yourself.
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!🏃🏽😊
