My two daughters are the biggest gift; I've said it so many times and it sounds like a cliche, but the thing about being a parent is when you think you've cracked it, and you're on top of your game, they change again and you have to catch up and adjust. I feel such a responsibility to instill good values in her, to be confident, to have discipline. Don't ever act harshly. That's the lesson I learned the hard way, raising two daughters. As a dad, I had to control my words and actions, throttling back my emotions. I didn't always succeed. I snapped at them, and there were a few times I yelled in anger. You learn, over time, that those unbridled moments reveal more about your own temperament and leadership abilities than whatever situation caused the outburst.
