Bucket List !

Yesterday Evening I happen to see one of my All-Time Favorite Movies "The Bucket List" on TV. “The Bucket List” is a Movie about two Terminally ill guys (Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson) who meet in a hospital and then set out on an adventure to try and do everything on their Bucket Lists. What Does Bucket List Mean? Quite simply: It’s a List of Things You Would Like to Do Before You Die (or “Kick the Bucket”). Originally referring to things one might want to do before dying, it’s now come to mean “Things We Want to Do but Haven’t Gotten Around to Yet.”

Making a Bucket List is easy. You simply start writing down the things that you’ve always wanted to do but that you never got around to doing. Sound simple? Well, it can be a bit more difficult than you’d think. Especially when you have to actually choose the things you really want to do and not be constrained by societal norms and traditions or expectations as to what is “Right” or “Wrong” or what is acceptable behavior. The key, of course, is to simply start writing the first things that come into your head with no consideration of whether you should or shouldn’t want to do a particular thing.

What about enhancing your own Personal Life while you are making your Bucket List? How often have you Vowed, “I’m going to Start Doing a Few Things for Myself”? We know that placing our own wants and wishes ahead of everything else leads to a shallow, superficial life lacking depth and meaning. However, to ignore one’s own needs consistently is to lead an unbalanced and, in time, an unhappy life. We must attend to Self-Care in order to be Strong and Stable enough to properly care for others. “One of these days I’m going to start Exercising or Biking or Golfing or Taking up a Hobby..etc. It’s on my Bucket List." *So, when will "One of These Days” Finally Arrive? What is wrong with “This Day”? Joy Deferred is Joy Surrendered.* If there are things you have always longed to do, why would you wait? I Reiterate: Self-care empowers us to properly Care for Others. Find Joy, and then you will be able to Share It.

“What’s on your Bucket List?” Whatever it is, if it’s Important Enough to Be In The Bucket then it’s Important Enough Not to Remain There.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!πŸƒπŸ½πŸ˜Š
