Fire In the Belly!

My Elder daughter is right now going through Jagriti Yatra which is an Ambitious Train Journey of Discovery and Transformation that takes hundreds of India's highly motivated youth, on a 15 day, 8000 km national odyssey to meet the role models - social and business entrepreneurs - of the country. I met many of these Youth yesterday when the Yatra reached Delhi and did find a Fire in their Belly, a Burning Desire to Do Something for Themselves and for the Country.

Fire in the Belly is the Strong Desire to Be, Have, Do and Experience something Greater in Our Life. I Believe it to be the Most Important Tool for Achieving Success, as it Overrides Both Talent and Resources. Fire in the Belly can Lead anyone to Triumph, regardless of what is put in front of them. Having a Dream, Coupled with the Will, Courage, and Ambition to be on Top of the World, will get us further in life than we can imagine.

We can’t Teach Fire in the Belly. We either Have It in Us – the Drive, the Self-motivation, the Goal-orientation, the Desire to Succeed – or We Don’t. It’s something that’s likely been inside those that have it for a very long time, waiting for the Right Opportunity to Bubble to the Surface. I Wish the Year 2019 be such Right Opportunity for All to Pursue their Dreams coupled with Fire in the Belly and Achieve Very Best in Life & Happiness.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart.
