This week I saw a video sent by one of my friends on the above topic. It sums up for me what life is all about. I would not be here if it had not been for My Parent's inspiration, their hard work, their grit, and determination to make a better life for me and my brother. I would not have been blessed with the immense success that I have enjoyed if I had not had their example to follow. How important is self-confidence? This week I read through an article posted by Norm Brodsky in Inc.com on what he believes, is the one quality that distinguishes a true entrepreneur from any other business­person. His answer was, the ability to see things differently. As per him, A true entrepreneur is able to look at a situation and identify an opportunity, or a solution to a problem, or a path around an obstacle that, for some reason, everyone else has missed. I believe in our Personal & Professional Life, As soon as we open our mind to seeing things differently, the doors of opportunity practically fly off their hinges. To find solutions to our problems, we must look at them from different perspectives. Looking at the world through a single lens makes everything appear the same. Last month was spent by me in raising money for my Start-up and one thing which I kept sharing with all of my existing & prospective investors was that they aren’t just investing in an idea or the business model, they’re investing in the people behind the idea & the business. In my Business & Personal Life, I have seen many who had invested in relationships have reaped exponential returns. Now, the most common type of relationship investment is providing resources that are in some way valuable to the other person. This might be offering recommendations, extending your knowledge and expertise, offering contacts that could become connections for that person or it could even be opening up your pocketbook in a traditional sense and offering capital.
