Discover More In You!

This week I lost one of my school friends. I had met him recently in one of our Social Get-Togethers. He was as always Full of Life, a Family Man, Very Caring and of Helping Nature. Now, what he has left behind is His Memories and we all Friends are going to miss him. Events like these make you look at Life from a different perspective. Yesterday I saw this Ford India advertisement as part of its latest brand campaign – Discover the More in You. The campaign encourages viewers to lend a helping hand to those in need. Discover the More in You - draws from our experiences of situations that lead to self-discovery and help to make us choose what’s right.

It's very hard to Discover More In You. It would be much easier if our lives came with a manual that clearly showed us what our passions and talents are with instructions on what to do with them. Discovering who you are today is the first step to being who you will be tomorrow. We attract the right things when we have a sense of who we are. When it comes to our calling, most of us never discover it because we give up halfway and stop showing up to look for it. I have learned over the last few years that Self-discovery often happens when we move out of our comfort zone and change the norm.

I believe it's important for us to Discover More in You, To Learn Where Our Passions and Talents Intersect and To Find What We Love and What the World Needs, and then Combine Them. I have now understood that Discover More in You isn’t some Step-By-Step Formula. It’s a Compass that points our Life Towards the Right Direction and it’s our responsibility to figure out how we will get there. As we Discover More in You, We’ll fail plenty of times, but it’s all those failures that will point us in the Right Direction. The greatest discovery in life is to Discover More in You. Until we find yourself we will always be Someone Else. Become Yourself and Leave Your Footprint.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart. If we are our authentic selves, we will have no competition. I believe Hard times arouse an instinctive desire in us to Be Authentic.
