Turn Problems Into Opportunities!
This week while going through the Interview of our Minister of Road Transport & Highways And MSMEs in Economic Times where he spoke about his Mega Plans. One statement made by him in the interview stuck with me that was "I always say this: there are some people who convert an opportunity into a problem and there are some who convert a problem into an opportunity. I am a person who turns Problems into Opportunities. My job is to find a way to solve problems." Let’s face it, life throws problems at us pretty much all the time. The way of finding a solution for a given problem can open many doors of opportunities in front of us.
I also totally concur with our Minister's statement because when we work hard but still face annoying small or big problems, there is just one thing that we can do – accept the problems and try to transform them into big Opportunities. The bigger problem we try to solve, the Bigger Opportunity we may have. However, there's always one simple question we need to ask ourself, in order to turn a problem into an opportunity. Am I pleased or frightened? The point is we get frightened, we could give up when confronted with a problem. Or we could ask ourselves, what can I do with this problem in order to turn it into an opportunity. In our Entrepreneurial Journey, we have always tried to look for concrete problems that cause our potential clients enough pain for them to pay for a solution and become a big opportunity for us.
In Business on in Life, our Journey will be filled with problems – but instead of looking at them as dead-ends we need to embrace them, learn from them, and turn them into opportunities. Problems put us in places which we would never get in if not for the unexpected outcomes. This challenge is the best way to see ourselves completely out of the comfort zone and to test our ability to take the unexpected and turn it into something desirable, into something of great value for us. By turning problems into opportunities, we will find success we never realized we were capable of achieving.
