Share Your Story!

This week I was on a Panel of a Start-up Conclave and had the opportunity to share my Startup Journey with the audience who were Startupreneurs. I was enthused by the response I received from all & that's the time I realized the importance of Sharing Your Story. I believe we don’t have to be a writer or a performer to share our powerful story. Truthtelling is all about letting the world know what’s in our hearts. In diving into and sharing our story, we free ourself from the burdens of the past and allow ourself to step into glorious new chapters in our life. All while letting other people who might feel alone in their journey know that they aren’t.

Sharing your story can be a great path toward self-love: It affirms that we are worthy of having a voice, worthy of being heard, worthy of being cared for, and worthy of being loved. It helps to think about our life as a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end. It helps to think about how the various events—even the not good ones—have been part of a journey toward the person we want to become. There may be times when we are simply not ready to talk about our story—and that’s okay! But when we are ready to share, do so—for everyone’s sake. We don’t just tell our story because of the good it does to us; we do so as a service to others who may be struggling with similar issues.

Sharing your story is heart work. It's not easy work, but owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we will ever do. In my recent experience,
I realized that we don’t just help people by sharing our story — we find people who care by sharing. Besides, it also offers the opportunity for someone to help us. I believe when we speak of things that we feel deeply, it is more likely that we’ll be able to touch the hearts of others. Our heartache is someone else’s hope. Share Your Story, as we do not know how one sentence of our story can inspire someone to rewrite their own.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!🏃🏽😊
