What do We Practice in Our Life?
This week one of my friends sent a video in a WhatsApp group which talked about 'What Do We Practice in Our Life'? It talked about whatever we practice in our life, we'll get good at it. So if we practice complaining, we'll get good at it. At the same time, if we practice joy or happiness, we'll get very good at it too. I know of many people who are constant cribbers, at the same time I know of many people who are constantly happy with what's going on in life. So we become what we choose to be and what practice in our daily life. Looking back I think unconsciously, I chose to be Positive about whichever situation I might be in, which inadvertently helped to go through the tough situations of my Startup Journey.
We all have instinctive preferences in doing things in a particular way. This becomes a practice and over a period of time repeatedly done becomes a habit. We are defined by our habits, therefore it is crucial to watch what is our instinctive preferences and what are our repeat practice's to decide what we want to be. I also believe the performance of a team in the business is affected a lot by how much colleagues engage in a deliberate practice that involves attention, repetition, interest, and motivation.
Also, gaining knowledge is only half the battle won. The other half comes through extensive practice and feedback. No one can deny the importance of practice in learning or reinforcing the concepts we learn – whether it is business or general life lessons. I hope this question “What do We Practice in Our Life?” will help each of us to notice and inspect what we practice every day and wherever required we make the necessary adjustments to practice the things that will have the greatest rewards for ourselves and those in our lives.
