Why are we Insecure in Relationships?
The last few weeks were spent by me help fighting out insecurities of many. I believe Everyone feels insecure from time to time, perhaps particularly in certain situations. Insecurity, or a tendency to lack confidence or certainty in oneself, may be experienced by most of us regarding some aspects of our lives. I have seen Insecurity often causes negative thoughts about our own ability to reach goals or find acceptance and support. Sometimes our thoughts are backed by so much Insecurity, that they create lies we believe.
I have experienced that most of the insecurities in relationships whether Personal or Professional are mainly because of communication breakdown and trust deficit. And addressing these two issues is the key to resolving these insecurities. As a Startuprenure over the years, I have learned that over-communication is the key to handle insecurities in any enduring relationship. In healthy business relationships, each side depends on the other to keep informed. Besides, I have learned to commit to honesty and transparency in our business relationships. I believe this principle alone will do more to engender trust than any other action on our part.
The fear of being evaluated by others—and found to be lacking—may lead us to feel anxious. I believe when anxiety surfaces it's the first sign of insecurity. And it's good to address it and seek help then and there. Else I feel it quickly deteriorates into insecurity. I believe when there is a difference when there is anxiety when there is less secure feeling, talk, talk, talk...clarify clarify, clarify till we slay they monster that feeds rapidly on anxiety. To stay secure in relationships, I have learned to follow the Mantra, When in doubt ASK & When vulnerable TALK.. what about You?
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!🏃🏽😊
