Changing Landscape of Livelihood!

Saving Lives and Saving Livelihood to Save Lives, has been the focus on all in the last three months. However, the entire workforce across the world is in transition. I am sharing a few changes in the Livelihood landscape. First, there is a transition of Workforce from Sectors which are facing slowdown to Sectors where there are increased activities. Secondly, Workers have reached or are heading back home and are looking for work nearby. Thirdly, Entrepreneurship is seeing an uptrend due to lack of jobs and will be the way forward for many. Fourthly, as Work From Home becomes a New Normal, it will see a rise of Distributed Workforce which is transitionary & invisible, opening work opportunities for many. And Lastly, Gig Economy Workers & Freelancers will be much in demand.
However, this changing landscape of livelihood will be difficult and at the same time will be full of opportunities for many. A lot of People will have to Unlearn old ways of doing things which will be most difficult. There will be a lot of resistance, blame games, and pain in this transition. Many will adapt to the fast-moving changes, will reskill/up-skill themselves, or get into new work altogether. Going Digital will be the way forward and all those who learn the new normal will find many new opportunities coming their way. Many Corporates/Platforms will now prefer People to Work From Home and thereby creating a Distributed Workforce, which will become a choice of livelihood for many.
Our Startup Jeevitam is now at the forefront of this transition. We are trying to work with Government bodies and philanthropy Organizations to do Skill Mapping of the Workers and do Match Making with the work opportunities available in the market through government and corporates. Going forward communities will become more local & inclusive where people will find work opportunities locally while working with Platforms. At the same time, because of Work from Home becoming new normal, new opportunities will open for many segments like Women & Workers living in small towns/villages. Many will find opportunities to work for anyone, from anywhere across the world. Distributed Workforce will be the next big opportunity in the Livelihood space. These are interesting times and it's on us adapt to the new fast-changing landscape of livelihood.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are.
