Take Rest!

I have been in crisis mode since the onset of this Year. This week another crisis hit when many in the society I live in tested positive for the Corona Virus. Thankfully, none in my family contracted this Virus. I soon realised We all are dealing with two contagions — the virus itself and the emotions it generates. I went through the negative emotions that are every bit as contagious as the virus, and they’re also toxic. Fatigue, fear, and panic which come along with this virus undermines our ability to think clearly and creatively, manage our relationships effectively, focus attention on the right priorities, and make smart, informed choices. Besides, there are always just too many things to get done, too many demands, too many responsibilities, too many bills, and too much urgency.

Amidst all this, listening to my Mentors advice, I decided to Take Rest & try as much as to do nothing. Very difficult for a person like me, however, my family & my Team supported me to Take Rest for a few days. If We Ask any physician and they will tell us rest is essential for physical health. Ask any athlete and they will tell us rest is essential for physical training. Ask many of yesterday’s philosophers and they will tell us rest is essential for the mind. Ask most religious leaders and they will tell us rest is essential for the soul. Ask many corporate leaders and they will tell us that rest is essential for productivity. Bottom Line: In the present ongoing crisis we all are using a lot of, emotional & physical energy and eventually we need to rest. If we deprive ourselves of rest long enough, we all will start facing a lot of problems.

I believe when 'life happens' (which it does for EVERYONE), in order to heal there comes a time when we have to get out of crisis mode and move into the Resting Phase. The Resting Phase for me means giving ourselves the chance to ‘woo-sah’ (breath) afterlife has happened. Without sounding too preachy, I think We all need to Rest our Mind and Let our mind know it can chill out for some time. We all need to Rest our Heart and Let our hearts know that yes, it may have been hurt, but that it will heal. We all need to Rest our Spirit and Let our spirit know that it may be broken right now but that it will be built back up again. We all need to Rest our Body. I firmly believe Self-care is critical in order to make it through life’s hardest moments, Take Some Time To Recover & Take Rest.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!🏃🏽😊
