Time for Reflection and a Time to Move Forward!


As we enter the month of December, for many it's time to reflect on the year gone by. This year was indeed a crazy year for all of us, many will say and agree. The world came to stand still for some time. Everyone across the world was in complete Lockdown. And after a brief pause, life started limping back again. This year changed the way we live and work. We realized the importance of many things, which we had taken for granted. Importance of the Work We Do, Importance of our Relationships, and the Importance of Good Health. I will call this year a Year of Survival. Survive in the Work We Do and Survive to Live.

It is now more evident than ever that adaptability is the key to survival. For all those who refused to change, found it difficult to do things they have been doing. For all those who refused to learn new skills required in the New Normal found that they suddenly became irrelevant. We could no longer live in the past. For many of us this year was a reminder that adversities are part of life and that no matter how many times we may get knocked down, we must always get back up. Get Back & Look for new opportunities emerging and work towards grabbing these new opportunities. I believe it's one of the best times to reinvent the way we live and work.

For me this year was a journey of self-discovery, willpower, small triumphs, and the strength of positive thinking. New Normal is fast emerging, Work From Home, for example, is now becoming an acceptable working option. Going Digital is now becoming a necessity for all of us. We all know that the way we work and live will never be the same, even if we don’t yet know all the ways in which it will be different. There’s an option for us to retain the best parts of our past, add the best of the future, and create a New Hybrid Model, for example online & offline of the way we do things is going to be the New Normal. How well we Reimagine & Prioritize aspects of our lives we enjoy the most, will define the New Face of our Work and Life.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart. If we are our authentic selves, we will have no competition. I believe Hard times arouse an instinctive desire in us to Be Authentic.
