Trust Your Instincts, Act On the Opportunity and Take Decisions Now!

This week one of my Ex Colleagues called up to check on the Startup idea he had been working on for some time and whether he should quit his job to start. I advised him to Trust his Instincts based on whatever information he has and take the decision. Sometimes we make decisions that we think long and hard about, but often we make decisions simply because it feels right. Call it a gut feeling, a hunch, an intuition, or an instinct—what they all have in common is that we don't know why we feel the way we do, yet the feeling can be so compelling, it moves us to act. Over the years at Jeevitam We have cultivated this ability to act with conviction early, learned to listen to our gut feelings to make calls. In the context of the ongoing crisis where things are changing so fast and with so much uncertainty, we need to Trust our Gut Feel, Our Instinct to take those important decisions and Move Forward. 'The most successful people act on the opportunity before the tipping point of evi...

Hybrid is the Future of Work & the Way We Live!

This week I attended a Discussion Board organized by one of our Advisory Board Members firm Unqbe on Future of Work. It was a very interesting Workshop wherein the discussions were primarily on the Hybrid Workforce and how we all are getting ready for the new Business Models. I believe more than a year of Remote Working because of the ongoing crisis has challenged us to rethink our traditional work & life models. Lockdowns and other restrictions forced us to adopt Digital Ways of Doing Things. We were Working From Home through Video Calls and at the same time we were also attending Weddings & other Functions through video calls. As the lockdown ease, there is a viewpoint which is Emerging to get the Best of Both Digital & Physical & Digital Worlds ie Hybrid worlds like the New World. Hybrid is emerging as the new way of Working & Living Our Life. I believe the Future of Work is indeed Hybrid and Remote And the most Agile Work Providers & Work Seekers will be abl...

Trust The Vibes!

This week I spent time taking a lot of Interviews with Prospective Hires for our Startup Jeevitam. We are on a High Growth Trajectory and need a lot of Young Talented Individuals who believe in us and our Mission Livelihood for All. I asked standard questions to all but what made me hire a few was how I felt around that person and trusted that instinct when it says to either distance myself or hires. Whether it’s a person or a situation, we’ve all had moments when we just need to make a decision. We feel this urge to get ourselves into "something” that just feels so right. We can’t always put our finger on why but that instinct is right and we need to listen to it. The energy that is pulling us is there for a reason. It might not be clear what it is immediately but over the years I learned to Trust that Guidance called Vibes. Trust the vibes you get. Energy doesn’t lie ~ Unknown.  Lockdowns are now getting lifted, life will restart again for many. Last year after the first wa...

Believe in Yourself And Go For It!

The ongoing crisis is making transformational changes in the Way We Work & Live. What was Relevant prior to the crisis may not be Relevant Now. This is in many ways forcing people to look at Emerging Opportunities and Possibilities. Work From Home/Anywhere Opportunity is Reinventing the Way We Work & Live. At the same time, it is Definitely Possible to Learn New Ways of Doing Things. My wife who is a Primary School Teacher, in the last year has learned to use laptops more effectively to make Presentations/Excel Sheets. She learned to Teach Kids coming to the School for the first time, Digitally. She really had to work very hard, it was indeed tough for her but in the end, like many, she also completed her full Term with the kids, Digitally. She Believed in Herself and just Went for It. I have been having conversations with many in recent times who have been having a tough time in their Jobs or in Business. And one thing which is common with many of them was that they Held to th...
