Hybrid is the Future of Work & the Way We Live!

This week I attended a Discussion Board organized by one of our Advisory Board Members firm Unqbe on Future of Work. It was a very interesting Workshop wherein the discussions were primarily on the Hybrid Workforce and how we all are getting ready for the new Business Models. I believe more than a year of Remote Working because of the ongoing crisis has challenged us to rethink our traditional work & life models. Lockdowns and other restrictions forced us to adopt Digital Ways of Doing Things. We were Working From Home through Video Calls and at the same time we were also attending Weddings & other Functions through video calls. As the lockdown ease, there is a viewpoint which is Emerging to get the Best of Both Digital & Physical & Digital Worlds ie Hybrid worlds like the New World. Hybrid is emerging as the new way of Working & Living Our Life.

I believe the Future of Work is indeed Hybrid and Remote And the most Agile Work Providers & Work Seekers will be able to Succeed. I think we are shifting towards World becoming one Marketplace for Work Seekers and Work Providers, and it may happen faster than we think. For example, Work From Home is now making Working from Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities the same as Working from Tier 1 cities. Work From Home also opens up opportunities for Women & Persons with Disabilities, as earlier they could not work because of lack of opportunities and conducive Work Environment outside. Today Work Providers from across the world are hiring Work Seekers Working from Anywhere as Employees or Freelancers because of the Cost Arbitrage and Associated Benefits. Digital Nomad Visas are now being issued by various countries in Europe. I think Work Seekers are now more willing than ever to engage with new approaches to working culture, while Work Providers, must remain open, sensitive, and imaginative in order to support that need. Get the Best Digital & Physical Way of Working to create a New Hybrid Way of Working.

In the last over one year, many of us were forced to Learn the Digital Way of Doing Things. Our Parents became experts in Sending Daily Best WhatsApp Messages to Family & Friends. Many of us learned to do shopping on E-Commerce Platforms and are now placing orders online virtually every day. Many learned to do Yoga & Meditation online. Many learned to dance and sing and develop their hobbies by taking online classes. Big Fat Indian Weddings became a Very close Personal Function as many preferred to attend over Zoom. Many learned to Transfer money online. Many started ordering food online to cloud kitchens instead of visiting Restaurants. I believe a lot of new habits formed in the last over one year are here to stay. As the Lockdowns open up and there is talk of a third wave coming, people will prefer the New Way of Living with the best of both Old Normal and New Normal giving way to Hybrid Normal. Hybrid is the New Way to Work & Live. A Hybrid Approach to Work & Life is Here to Stay.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart.
