Excellence in Whatever We Do!

'History Scripted At Tokyo' Tweeted our PM yesterday as Neeraj Chopra Won Gold Medal at the Olympics, the first Indian Athlete to do so. Neeraj Chopra, India champ's Javelin throw wowed audiences yesterday at Tokyo Olympics. It was indeed a moment for India at the Olympics, watching Neeraj throw the Javelin so powerfully. It was also very motivating for all Indians to see Neeraj striving not just to win, but to excel when it mattered the most under the highest scrutiny and pressure. It is meant to be the Very Best in Whatever We Do. The Olympics have always meant a lot to me personally and I remember growing up watching the Olympics on TV.  There is something special about these Olympic games – The majesty of the event is because of the hard work and the talent of those who compete in the games and strive for the gold, the excellence quotient. They resonate a sense of National Pride and Competitive Excellence in Whatever We Do.

Continue to do common things in an uncommon way. Continue to be 'all in.' Continue to apply 'best is the standard.' Continue to be a person of excellence in everything you do. ~ Dabo Swiney. 

Dedication does Drive Excellence and It amazes me the Perseverance and Persistence that it takes to become fantastic at anything.  Whether we want to be the best Athlete, best mechanic, or a Startuprenure, it takes all the will to settle for nothing less. We may never approach the level of these Olympic athletes who sacrifice every moment of their time beginning in early childhood to achieve their goals. It reaffirms the old adage that nothing great comes easy and without effort – so whatever our craft maybe, we need to put in the time and efforts to achieve Excellence in Whatever We Do.

It was indeed inspiring to see the Indian Men & Women Hockey Teams play in these Olympics games. Team sports bring out the best in the individuals that make up those teams.  When we can train with others who value winning as much as we do, and who are a part of our common vision for excellence, it creates an environment where losing seems impossible. At our Startup Jeevitam, we are in the process of building one such team which beliefs in the Mission Livelihood for All and Jeevitam being the Lifelong Earning Partner of the Work Seekers. We believe when teams are supportive, well trained, and trust one another, there is no limit to success. Excellence in Whatever We Do takes effort, but at the same time is rewarding and gives us the required energy to Live a Life We always Wanted To Live.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart.
