I Will Persist Until I Succeed!

Yesterday was World Entrepreneurs’ Day, it recognizes and celebrates the efforts of individuals who are Entrepreneurs. On this day I went through a lot of articles that are there to create awareness & celebrate entrepreneurship and innovation. However, I feel it was also a day for all the entrepreneurs to ponder on the lessons learned during the ongoing crisis. The once-in-a-century crisis was a reality check which taught us many New Lessons and literally forced us to embrace the New Normal. We also realized the hard way that there’s no failing as an entrepreneur; only learning. We need to Believe in ourselves, our idea, deliver our best every day, We need to Persist Until We Succeed.

'I will persist until I succeed. I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny. I will persist until I succeed. The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Never will I know how close it lies unless I turn the corner. Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult. I will persist until I succeed. I know that small attempts, repeated, will complete any undertaking. I will never consider defeat and I will remove from my vocabulary such words and phrases as quit, cannot, unable, impossible, out of the question, improbable, failure, unworkable, hopeless, and retreat. I will toil and I will endure. I will ignore the obstacles at my feet and keep my eyes on the goals above my head, I will persist until I succeed.' ~ The Greatest Salesman, Og Mandino.

I have been a Startuprenure for some time now and for me, Entrepreneurship is all about seeing opportunities where none seem to exist, and it is also about solving problems that seem unsolvable by many. At Jeevitam, we are trying to solve the Problem of Livelihood for All. We are questioning everything, trying to Reimagine the existing ways of doing things. And while doing so what keeps us going is, to Persist Until We Succeed. In life, there’re multiple challenges for all of us at a different point in time but I believe the key is to be persistent. It’s really difficult to keep the hope alive every day and keep moving but if we don’t do that, I believe We might miss a Big Opportunity. If anyone of us is facing challenges in life at this point in time because of the ongoing crisis, please Don’t Give Up. Keep trying, rest assured the persistence will bear its reward at some point in time. I Will Persist Until I Succeed.

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are.
