End of Year Self Reflection!
This week I saw a post shared by one of my friends, Dr. Glenn where he shared that 'When We are too Busy to Reflect, that's exactly When We Need To.' He shares in his post that Reflection can be a course corrector, validate our current trajectory, or be the catalyst for a whole new direction. The year 2021 is coming to a close and I believe it's time for all of us to do Self Reflection. I feel personal that this Year 2021 was a Year of Transition in a Big Way. The crisis that started last year continued and forced all of us to change in many ways. It's time for us to look inwards at what we did right, where we need to improve and what will like to do both Personally & Professionally in the Year 2022. Reflecting on what we took from 2021 is the best way we can prepare to make the Year 2022 even better.
'Adopting Reflection as a core practice leads to better decision making, greater resilience in the face of change, and focused momentum to achieve the goals most important to you.'~ Dr. Glenn.
I will like to share my Perspective while I did Self Reflection on the professional front. Our Startup Jeevitam got into a high growth trajectory this year. We tried to help as many vulnerable segments and entry-level work-seekers find sustainable livelihood in collaboration with Government, Industry, & Philanthropy world. We will be striving to do Home Delivery of Livelihood for All in the Year 2022. Externally, I saw the entire Workforce across the World in Transition with Technology acting as a Big Enabler. The world is now becoming one Marketplace, Talent is now a Global Resource. I believe, Earlier We Lived Where We Worked, Now We Want To Work Where We Live.
While doing Self Reflection on the Personal front, I feel the following five key takeaways are relevant: First, Learning has been a continuous process for me, however, it became more profound this year. Second, Working From Home/Anywhere became a reality for me. I now manage most of my Life remotely, Hybrid is the New Normal. Third, I tried to Over Communicate as much with as many. It became more important because the transition was happening from Physical World to Digital World. Fourth, Collaborated with as many entities & individuals across India and Overseas. I believe we need to work together to Solve Big Problems. Fifth, Asked for Help Whenever Wherever required and Helped as many as much could possibly do. Empathy became part of my life. I believe 2021 just went as it came, we all were constantly on the Move. I will be doing more Self Reflection from time to time in the coming year as it's important for Growth. Wishing Everyone a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year 2022.
