Always Be Curious!

Yesterday I spoke to Students from Girls College in Allahabad who is going to work as Research Associates with us for the next few months. It was a very good experience to hear their aspirations where these girls wanted to be someone in life and be self-dependent. They all had this Curiosity as to what they needed to do to get that confidence required to achieve their dreams and they asked all relevant questions. For the very young, everything is new and wildly uncertain. But they’re on a mission of discovery, and they’re determined to figure things out. And they’re good at it! I think in the ongoing crisis we All need to have a similar mindset to that of Young Girls to Always Be Curious and to Reimagine the Way We Work & Live.

"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." ~ Walt Disney. In our Startup Jeevitam, we question the Status quo which allows us to Reimagine the way Work Seekers & Work Providers find each other for Livelihood Opportunities. Our Curiosity to find Innovative ways to remove the friction keeps opening New Doors And New Avenues to Grow. I keep saying that the ongoing crisis is giving us All once in Lifetime Opportunities to Reimagine the Way We Work & Live, to Question Everything We Do & How We Do to find Better Ways of Doing Things, and Always Be Curious.

At Jeevitam we are on a high growth trajectory and looking at building a good big team this year. I asked one of my Advisory Board Members what is the one trait we should look at while looking for talent, her simple answer was that a Person should be Curious. 'Pado Aur Poochho' ie Read & Ask is the Mantra we have to follow to Always Be Curious. Curiosity is also the Engine of Creativity. Better - and more creative - solutions come from being curious about the broader range of potential answers. If we are Curious we Create Opportunities, and then if We Open the Doors, We Create Possibilities. There is Always Something We Can Do & Succeed At, Always Be Curious.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart. If we are our authentic selves, we will have no competition. I believe Hard times arouse an instinctive desire in us to Be Authentic.
