Prepare & Practice for Courage & Confidence!

This week I read through a post on LinkedIn by Mansi Tripathy about the 5 Lessons she Learned from her Father Dr. Motilal Madan, who was conferred with Padamshri recently. All lessons shared by her were insightful, however, one of the Lessons about 'Content is the Key to Self-Confidence' I thought was very relevant in the context of the ongoing crisis. I believe to be Courageous & Confident is to trust in our own abilities and believe that we can do what we set our minds to. In her post, Mansi shares one of the conversations with her Father wherein that conversation provided her the Ultimate Mantra of Preparing & Practicing Well. She further shares 'Be it Preparing for an interview with media, customer meeting, internal discussions, or any important conversation. Content is the most powerful spring of Confidence. So, if we want to become confident and courageous like nobody else, then we have started gathering information, intelligence, reference, inferences, etc. Basically, work on the content and courage & confidence will follow'. I think in the Ongoing crisis many are facing an existential crisis because somewhere they lost the courage to tread into the unknown and the confidence to embrace the fast-moving changes. I have seen with my experience that if we prepare ourselves well and Practice, we can certainly get our Courage & Confidence back in due course. We all need to Always Prepare & Practice well always for our Courage & Confidence.

'If you really want to be world-class - to be the best you can be - it comes down to Preparation and Practice.' ~ Robin Sharma. Prepare & Practice definitely are simple ways to boost our Courage & Confidence. In one of our conversations this Week with our Advisory Board Member and my Colleague who had given a Presentation to him, my colleague shared how she had Prepared & Practiced before giving a presentation to him. My Advisory Board Member while applauding her, also shared how he used Prepare & Practice at least ten times before making a Presentation to the Board and always carry talking point notes with him so that he does not miss out on any point relevant. Indeed we all have experienced that Courage & Confidence comes through Preparation & Practice. I keep saying that the ongoing crisis has forced all of us to adopt new changes to Work & Live. As much as we may like to go back to old ways, the world has moved on to New Normal. We all have no other option but to embrace these changes by Preparing for the New Normal & Practicing New Ways to Work & Live.

We all have faced three waves in the last two years, will there be a fourth wave is anybody's guess. We all now need to prepare ourselves to live with Uncertainty, Prepare ourselves for the New Normal, and Prepare ourselves for the Fast Ever Changing World. We can't keep asking our Colleagues to Work from home when lockdowns happen and come back to the office when it gets lifted. We have to Practice working from Anywhere/Where We Live, Practice Trusting & Giving Flexibility to Work, and Practice Work Digitally. I firmly believe that to overcome the resistance to change we all have in us, we all need to have the courage & confidence to embrace the fast-moving changes happening across the World to Survive & Grow, and for that, We all need to Prepare & Practice, Always.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!πŸƒπŸ½πŸ˜Š
