We Must Believe in What We Do!

The whole month of April went by meeting Stakeholders, Partners, Board Members, Clients, and Colleagues. It's always a learning experience when you meet such diverse people who bring different perspectives to what we do. However, one thing which stood by me in these interactions was that they all looked upon us for the Belief we had in all our Innovative Ideas, Reimagining the Existing, the Scale We want to achieve in our Startup Jeevitam towards our Mission Livelihood For All. Believing in what we do might seem trivial, but the fact is that it can make a huge difference. Happiness comes when we love what we are doing, know what we are doing, and believe in what we are doing. It's Simple, We have to Believe in What We Do in order to Get What We Want.

"One person with a belief is equal to a force of 99 who have only interest." ~ John Stuart Mill. As the quote above says, it makes us much more powerful than those who just have interests. If we want to live an effective life, there is one condition we all should meet - We must Believe in What We Do. Believing in what we do gives us a reason to start. I have seen in many cases, the most difficult part of doing something is to start it. There is an inertia at the beginning that we must overcome. Once we overcome it, things will get easier. Our beliefs can help us overcome that inertia. If we believe in what we do, we have a strong reason to start and overcome any obstacles. That’s how we can get started doing something New and Difficult.

Over the years I have experienced that when we believe in what we do, we have enthusiasm. People can feel our energy and passion when they meet us. As a result, they are more likely to believe in what we do. Our Belief makes us stand out. Difficult times are inevitable, whether we like them or not. We could work hard, but not get the desired results or experience unexpected setbacks. In any case, we need a strong reason to keep moving forward. We need a strong reason not to quit. I have experienced, Our belief in What We Do gives us that reason. And if we don’t have it, I have seen people just choose to do something easier. But if we Do Believe in What We Do, We will Keep Moving Forward.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are.
