Spend Time with Family & Friends!

The day before yesterday, it was my Dad's 80th B'day and we celebrated it in the company of his childhood friends. It was a fun-filled day where his friends who themselves are 80+, also participated with full enthusiasm and fond Memories. I am enclosing a video (My Dad is in the Centre) which we made during the celebration, sharing their spirit of bonding. At the time of making this video, we did not realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun. During the day my wife and daughter were hearing their childhood memories and enjoying the banter among them. One more realization which came was that spending time with friends is never a waste of time, it's in a lifetime moment that we will surely miss when old age comes. And in the last few months, I have learned that an important reason why Spending Time with our Family is essential, is because Tomorrow is Never Promised. It’s OK to Make Mistakes!

This week while doing the induction of our senior colleague who has joined us recently, I was sharing with her the culture of our Startup Jeevitam. I shared with her that mistakes, gaffes, faux pas, and failed attempts have been part of our Startup Journey, it has been part of the exploration and fine-tuning of our products and services. While for Startups like us it can seem a little risky, and even counter-intuitive, however, we have experienced allowing more freedom for mistakes to be made, creating the conditions for fewer errors to occur, and more fun and productivity to take place. It's OK to Make a Mistake, howe...

Keep Simple Stupid!

This week while giving a demo of our Jeevitam Platform to one of our prospective clients, a key observation made by the client was that the platform designed by us was very simple and could be used by vulnerable segments easily. In three simple steps work seekers could register for livelihood opportunities and it could be done at Scale. Keep it simple, stupid (KISS) is a design principle that states that design and/or systems should be as simple as possible. Wherever possible, complexity should be avoided in a system—as simplicity guarantees the greatest levels of user acceptance and interaction. In Uber, we can book a taxi in three simple steps, similarly, in Airbnb, we can book a property in three simple steps. However, under the hood of both these platforms, there is complex technology working but from a user experience perspective, it's very simple and stupid to use. The ability to simplify and make it look stupid means to eliminate the unnecessary so that necessary may speak....
