'Beti Bachao Beti Padao Beti ko Svavlambi Banao' - 'Save Your Daughter by helping Your Daughter Study and Help her Become Self Dependent'!
This week Madam Draupadi Murmu was declared the 15th President of India, making history that makes her the first citizen of India. She is a woman of many firsts and has showcased grit and perseverance throughout her life. She is the first Tribal President and the Second Woman President of Independent India. I believe she will be an Inspiration for Girls & Women of India who wish to make a mark in their lives and help Increase Female Workforce Participation in India. Before I share my views on Female Workforce Participation, wish to share with all that in my Family the Female Workforce Participation is complete. My wife who is a graduate of Commercial Arts discovered her passion for Teaching Pre-Primary Students. Post Marriage, she did her B.Ed and has been a Teacher now for over a decade. My Elder Daughter is a Lawyer, working for a Multinational as a Digital Nomad. And my younger daughter is Cloud Kitchen Entrepreneur and now doing her graduating with a specialization in Entrepreneurship.
In our Startup Jeevitam, We are also doing a lot of work to Increase Female Workforce Participation and it gives us the opportunity to interact with various stakeholders and get their perspectives. In our view, courtesy ongoing crisis two big Innovations have taken place: First, Work From Home/Anywhere is now an acceptable Work option. We always believe in giving equal choice to Work Seekers. Women now have a choice, Go Out For Work or Let Work Come to their Home. Second, GiG Work opportunities give them the required flexibility to choose the Trade they want to work, the time they wish to spend, etc (as per the recent Niti Aayog Report). We believe these two Innovations will be game changers and help Increase Female Workforce Participation in India. Besides, I personally have two ideas that can probably help increase Female Workforce Participation: First, All successful Females who are working help 10 Girls/Women find Livelihood & Mentor them to earn their livelihood. Second, All Fathers like me, help their daughters become Self Dependent. I believe this is the best gift they can give to their daughters for their confidence & success in Life.
We believe, When we are looking at Solving Big Social Problems like Increasing Female Workforce Participation, we All need to do our bit. In our Startup Jeevitam, we have Female Workforce Participation of over 60%. Also, we believe that we have to work together to Solve Big Social Problems. Accordingly, Jeevitam along with CSC Gramin Naukri (A Government of India Enterprise) launched Audacious Project to Help Over One Million (10 Lakhs) Girls/Women Find Sustainable Livelihood. In this Project, we are working & propose to Collaborate with as many Central & State Government Bodies, Academic Institutions, Skill Development universes, CSRs & Philanthropy Institutions, NGOs and Corporates & Startups with a focus on Diversity & Inclusion. We believe this project will turn out to be a Movement and accordingly propose to launch the National Livelihood Helpline Number for Women, Do Hybrid Work Fairs across Districts, Do College Placement Drives, Webinars & Roadshows to create awareness & create a Community with the help of all stakeholders. We are Inviting Everyone to be part of this Movement to Increase Female Workforce Participation. *Ab Har Nari Banegi Aatmanirbhar*
