Let's Work Together!

We have been working on the launch of the Audacious Project for over a month now, to help at least one million Women/Girls find Sustainable Livelihood, Financial Inclusion, Access to Government Schemes & Capacity Building. While the intent is to Increase Women's Workforce Participation in India, we are clear that it will require the participation of all the stakeholders to make it a Movement. So while designing the project, we created a Plug & Play format wherein everyone and anyone from the Government, Corporates/Startups, Academia, Skilling Universe & Philanthropy world can participate in whatever capacity, as per their capability, and wherever/whenever they wish to participate. We know Working Together requires a lot of Patience, a lot of Hard Work, and a lot of Persistence, but in the end, it helps achieve the desired objectives. When We Work Together, We make the Impossible Possible.
Since the launch of the Project, we have been working on creating and building Internal & External Teams to deliver on the Audacious Project. When we were planning to launch the Project in a few months, we were clear that it will require more of us than we expect. We know that there will be Down Moments. Tough Moments. Moments that we may want to quit. We are clear that doing this Project will be hard, very hard, and we are convinced that it will not be easy. We should Expect Challenges. Expect Road Blocks. That way, when time gets tough, as times always do, we will not get discouraged. I think it's also important that We Believe in every team member of ours. Respect each one of them, as each one contributes in some way or the other, some visible, some invisible. We need to encourage every Team Member to work even harder, to push themselves to new heights. We need not only Work Together with Internal Teams but also Work Together with External Teams to make the Impossible Possible.

In our Startup Jeevitam, our focus has always been on building deep, long-term, and win-win relationships. Today is the age of the remote workforce where we are working together with each other from different geographical locations. We cannot accomplish all that we need to without Working Together. However, in my experience Working Together requires a lot of patience, persistence, and perseverance. While we wish to work together, we want to take the lead, we believe can take the ideas and do it ourselves and are not able to create an environment of trust and respect for each other many times. In my view Not designing a proper strategy, Not defining proper roles and responsibilities, Not listening to team members, and Not creating a supportive environment are probably reasons why Working Together does not work the way it should. I believe we should over-communicate, believe in each other & their capabilities, and work towards a common vision to effectively Work Together. Let's Work Together to make the Impossible Possible.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are.
