When You want something to Work, You make it Work!

 We did a soft launch of Audacious Project on 2nd October to help as many Women/Girls find Sustainable Livelihood. In our Startup Jeevitam, we have been working to help vulnerable segments find Sustainable Livelihood. Few months back when this idea of focussing on helping increase Women Workforce Participation in India came to us, all our Stakeholders/Partners were keen to work on this Initiative. Each One from our heart wanted this Big Idea, this Big Initiative, this Audacious Project to Work. I am myself Father of two daughters and l always wanted my daughters to be self Dependent. We all are well aware of the theme 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padao' (Save daughters by Educating them), we asked ourselves what's the next logical step, 'Beti ko Swawlambi Banao' (help her become Self-Dependent) was the next logical step we believed. This idea of helping daughters of our country become Self-Dependent captures the Aspirations of the Young Girls of India 'Main Hoon Bharat Ki Beti Banana Chahti Hoon Swawlambi' (I am the daughter of India and want to become Self-Dependent). We launched the Anthem 'Beti Padao Beti Bachao Beti Ko Swawlambi Banao' which captures the Aspirations of daughters of our country (copy enclosed). We all want this Audacious Project to Work.

While working on this Audacious Project, we looked around and we did find there are many individuals, organisations who are doing amazing work in this space. However, the Women Workforce Participation as per our estimates is around 18% only, clearly something is Not Working. We are a Startup and we realised that we need to do Something Different, Something Innovative, Something Radical to make this Initiative a Movement. For this Movement to be really Audacious, we have planned various New & Innovative Initiatives. We have launched Nation wide dedicated 'Women Helpline Number'. All Women/Girls can call *011-41194455* number 24×7 to register for Livelihood. We are launching Nation wide Women Centric College Placement Drives in Girl's Colleges/Women Polytechnics/Schools. We are launching one of the world largest 'Mentor Mentee Program' wherein all the 'Atmanirbhar Women' (Working Women) will help at least one Women to become Self-Dependent. Also, we have planned for various events & elements to create awareness among all. So we have plan to do All Women Motorcycle Yatras, Walkathons by Girls/Women Colleges, do Nukkad Nataks, do Webinars with Industry Bodies, go on to All India Radio Stations, create awareness through various competitions in Schools/colleges/social media. We All want this Audacious Project to Work, to Become a Movement.

We also soon realised that problem statement we have in hand is quite Big and for this Audacious Project to become a Movement, Everyone has to come together, participate and do their bit towards the cause. All Stakeholders who are working in this space have to come together. We already have few Government Bodies/Academia/CSRs/Foundations/Skilling Universe/Corporates/Startups who have joined & many more are joining every day. All Members of the society have to come together. I keep saying, the best gift a Father can give to his daughter is to help her become Self Dependent. All Working Women have to come together. Simple idea, if each working woman helps one Girl/woman become Self Dependent, women workforce participation will double. Many Corporates are signing up towards this Movement. All the Girls studying in various schools/Colleges have to come together. They need to share their Aspirations and get aware of the opportunities to become Self-Dependent. All of us have to come together and do our bit towards the Movement, we are calling it *Yathashakti*. Whatever is your capacity/capability, contribute as per your willingness. For this Audacious Project to Work, to Become a Movement, We have to make a start, accordingly we have aptly named this Initiative *Aarambh*, a beginning, a Shruat of Something Big, Something Audacious, a Movement. Let's All of Us Come Together to help Girls become Self-Dependent, lets make it Work by making this Initiative a Movement, *Aarambh Ho*

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are.
