Have Great Aim. Continuosly Acquire Knowledge. Do Hard Work. Persevere & Succeed.

This week I saw this video on social media in which a young girl is asking question from our Ex President of India Dr Kalam on the tips for upcoming generation to succeed in life. He shared with the young girl four things and asked her to repeat what he was sharing with her. 'First, I will have a great Aim. Second, I will continuously Acquire Knowledge. Third, I will do Hard Work. Fourth, I will Persevere and Succeed.' These are the Mantras for success. I keep telling my daughters and my Team to Dream with eyes wide open, and Dream Big. My Elder Daughter wants to be a Digital Nomad and Travel the world. My younger Daughter wants to be a Startupreneur like her Dad. In our Startup Jeevitam, when we launched the Audacious Project *Aarambh*, we decided to impact at least one Million Women/Girls to become Self-Dependent. We all should have a Great Aim. Because success belongs to those who aim higher and follow their dreams.

One of the best things about life is that we never have to stop learning and acquiring knowledge. There are always new skills to learn and techniques for us to adopt. In whatever phase of life we may be, we need to keep reading/listening as much and keep asking as many to Never Stop Learning. When we develop a passion to Never Stop Learning, we will never cease to Grow. I keep telling my daughters, Books are their Best Friends for Life. In our Startup, whenever we are working on any new idea, we try to acquire as much knowledge of the existing process & way of doing things, question if there is better way of doing the same, keep reiterating the new way till we get it right. Learning from our mistakes and acquiring knowledge is a continuous process in Jeevitam. 'Hard Work and Confidence is the best medicine to kill the disease called failure. It will make you a successful person.' ~ Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam.

I have experienced over last two years that the world has moved on and New Normal has emerged. Many are not able to adapt to the fast changing New world and instead of looking for fault lines within they start blaming others and feel sorry about the situation they are in. I have learnt that the only answer to this problem is to keep Working Harder. Not feel Sorry. Not Blame others. We need to keep telling ourselves to look for Opportunities & Possibilities. We need to make the Right Choices and keep maing things happen with sheer Hard Work and Perseverance. I keep telling myself, my daughters & my team members to not allow voices of Lack, fear and smallness stifle the good work we can do. Rather than being stuck in the Old, let us adapt to the New, Build up new abilities, and by doing so discover new things about ourselves and the world at large. We have to make Winning a conscious decision, we need to make our mind whether we want to pass or fail, we need to prove to our mind that we can push ourselves further than we thought possible. We need to Persevere. We need to Work Hard. We need to acquire new knowledge, learn new Skills to be Confident. Whatever We have to do, we need to Aim High. We need to just find an Excuse To Win.

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart.
