Reflections for Year 2022!

In the last few days of the Year 2022, I’ve been reflecting a lot on the ways in which what worked in the Year 2022, and how will the Year 2023 look like. The vast changes we have experienced in the last two years since the onset of the ongoing crisis have prompted many of us to reevaluate our lives: who we surround ourselves with, what fulfills us the most, what matters the most to us, etc. Drawing on my wide and varied past experiences in the business sector as a Startupreneur, learner, and Colleague & Partner to a Ecosystem of Stakeholders, I will try to share my understanding of the Industry related to Livelihood, our Startup Jeevitam's Future and my Personal Learnings. First, In the last two years the World has moved on to become one Marketplace, what worked before likely won’t work now, so we all need to change and move forward together with a totally new unified purpose. Second, I have always believed in Innovation-led Growth, as the only true driving factor to build back a better future. I find that a hybrid system, oscillating between in-person, emotional interactions, and online, efficient and global communication will drive the innovative change. Third, Skill is the New Currency, We all need to ensure we have our own learning strategies and can skill/upskill/reskill ourselves to meet the needs of skills the world needs right now.

We believe the Year 2022 was a very good year for Jeevitam. We could Build on our Partnership Ecosystem, Get Sustainable Revenue Streams that we could scale up in the coming years, and create Business Models which are Innovative & Global. There are three important aspects on what Jeevitam will do in the Year 2023 based on our Learning of the Year 2022. First, this year we transitioned ourselves from a Transactional Relationship to Livelihood Partner for Life of the Vulnerable Segments. We will help them find livelihood in every phase of their life, help them find additional/part-time work opportunities to earn more money and help them manage their expenses & savings for their better future. Second, we successfully launched Aarambh Program to help at least one Million Women Girls find Sustainable Livelihood, help in Capacity Building, Financial Inclusion and Access to Government Schemes. In the year 2023, we will be launching similar Programs for Farmers & Rural India, for Persons with Disabilities/Senior Citizens & Orphans and Green Jobs. Third, In the Year 2022, we at Jeevitam Enabled the Training of a Segment of Learners at a Scale that had no precedence. In the Year 2023, we will build on what we had demonstrated to Enable Training at a Scale that will be trendsetters for the Industry. I keep saying, Jeevitam is now a Platform that will help all the Stakeholders, Investors & Talent to come together and deliver Something Impactful, Something Innovative & Something Big.

While doing Self Reflection on the Personal front, I feel the following three key takeaways are relevant: First, Learning has been a continuous process for me however, it became more profound this year. I am spending more time in reading as much. I have started attending as many Seminars/Events, there is always something new to learn and an interesting person to meet. I try to spend as much time with My Mentors, they are an ocean of Learning, and it's on me to get as much from them. Second, Working From Home/Anywhere & Working in Person is now a reality for me, Hybrid is indeed a New Normal. In the New Normal, I try to Over Communicate as much as many. Sometimes we cannot believe what we see, we have to believe what we feel. And if we are ever going to have other people trust us, we must feel that we can trust them, too-even when we are in the dark ourselves. Third, Life is quite uncertain and series of pulls back and forth. We take certain things for granted, even when we know we should never take anything for granted. I now do not take my health and my relationships for granted. I try to live my life to the fullest. I believe 2022 was a good year to give our life some semblance. We are in a better place to live in a fast-changing uncertain world. I will be doing more Self Reflection from time to time in the coming year as it's important for Growth. Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas and Very Happy & Prosperous New Year 2023.
