Teams that Do Well is How Well Its Members are Connected to One Another!


In our Startup Jeevitam, we have been following a Hybrid model of working since the onset of the crisis. We have our team working from over 23 Locations across India & overseas. This week a few of the Team members from across India travelled to Delhi to meet our Delhi Team members. Most of them have been with Jeevitam for some time but were meeting the Delhi Team members in person for the first time. It was indeed a good time spent with all the Team members bonding over food, travelling, meeting & spending good time together. We reviewed Jeevitam's achievements in the last financial year, planned for the next financial year, and took time to celebrate and recognize everyone's contributions. I think this helped build a sense of camaraderie and reinforced the team's connection. We believe by fostering open communication, building trust, and creating such opportunities for team bonding, Team Jeevitam can strengthen their connections and work more effectively together. We believe teams that are well-connected are more likely to perform well and achieve their goals.

While it's important that the Team Members are connected to each other, it's also important to pick the right member for our team. As we believe Team Work Works and the right Team Delivers the Impossible. So while Building the Team, there are certain aspects we keep in mind: Ownership, we look for Team members who own what they do and know where they want to go. Fire in the Belly, we look for Team members who have the hunger to do what they want to achieve and are open to unlearning to learn new ways of doing things. Empathy, we look for Team members who have the right values and are willing to do something good to create the right impact. Positivity, we look for Team members who are willing to take chances to do something Big and do not fear failure. Team Player, we look for Team members who are willing to work together with Team members across geographies Digitally & Physically and with the Internal & External Teams. Longevity, we look for Team members who are willing to go the extra mile to deliver what's required and have the patience & persistence to achieve the impossible. We believe the Team Jeevitam will go out there & give it everything they've got.

I think many times we have to use the Power of Encouragement, Believing in other People to Achieve what others think is Impossible. I think it's also important that We Believe in every team member of ours. Respect each one of them, as each one contributes in some way or the other, some visible, some invisible. We need to encourage every Team Member to work even harder, to push themselves to new heights. I also believe in today's world, collaboration is the Key. We need not only work with Internal Teams but also work along with External Teams together to collaborate, to create an Ecosystem to solve Big Problems. In our Startup Jeevitam, over the years we have created an Ecosystem of our Partners from Government, CSR/Foundations, Corporates/Startups, Academia & Skill Development Universe to come together as a Team towards Social & Financial Inclusion of the Vulnerable Segments. Team Work Works to Make Impossible Possible. At least for us, the Impossible will be Possible as a Team when its Team Members are connected to one Another.
