Let's Embrace our Passion, Leverage our Strengths, and Build Something Remarkable Together!

Image
This week I saw this post on LinkedIn where one of my friends had shared some powerful insights from Jim Collins Book, "Good To Great" on Hedgehog Concept, which is all about discovering organisation's sweet spot - the intersection of what we are deeply passionate about, what can we the best at, and what drives our economic engine. It's a powerful framework that helps us focus on what truly matters and fuels our path to sustained success. I must say Passion is the fuel that ignites dreams of myself & Team Jeevitam, it propels us forward, and infuses our lives with meaning. It is the spark that drives us to explore new possibilities, conquer challenges, and help us create something really extraordinary. In a world that often demands conformity and practicality, it is essential to embrace our passions wholeheartedly. By recognizing what truly sets our souls on fire, we can tap into a limitless well of motivation and inspiration. I have experienced that when we are d...

You Don't Ask - You Don't Recieve!

This week I again read through this post from Matt Higgins on LinkedIn wherein he shared a Steve Jobs clip from '94. In this interview he recounts the story about a single phone call that likely changed the trajectory of his life. I am sharing excerpts from his post. "When Jobs was 12 Years old, he cold called the Founder of Helwett Packard explaining he wanted to build a frequency - and boldly asking if Mr. Helwett had any spare parts he could use. Not only did he end up getting those spare parts, but his boldness also landed him a job working in an assembly line at Helwett Packard that same summer. Point is, You Don't Ask - You Don't Recieve." In my view, while Steve Jobs had this boldness to ask for help, on the other hand Mr. Helwett had this empathy to help Steve when he needed the most. It goes to show we never know how big of an impact we can make in someone's life if we Just Give Which Was Asked. “I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pie...

This week I saw this video on Social Media wherein Mr. Mukesh Ambani shares three of his Life Learning with the next Generation. His first learning to the Youth is "Dream Big, align your Passion in Life with a Goal. If we focus on the Goal, we will overcome obstacles. If we focus on obstacles, we will never reach our Goal." Dreaming Big for me has always been important because it gives me something to strive for. It motivates me to work hard and achieve my goals. My Big Dreams kept changing in Different phases of my life. In early stage of my career, for me starting my career in Mumbai was Big Dream. And now my Startup Jeevitam is my Big Dream. I have experienced that When we have Big Dreams, we are more likely to take risks and step outside of our comfort zone. We are also more likely to persevere in the face of challenges. I consider myself as a Passionate person and this is what gives me the drive and motivation to keep going when things get tough. When we are passionate ...

Life Rewards Those Who Initiate, Not Those Who Wait for Others To Do So!

This week I saw this post on LinkedIn to which I could relate very much. It talks about Introducing Yourself First, Helping a Stranger First, Say Hello First - these Three Simple Actions may seem small, but they can have a big impact on our life and the lives of those around us. Introducing Ourselves First, I have experienced is an important step towards building connections with others. By introducing ourselves, we open the door to new relationships, new opportunities, and new experiences. Helping a Stranger First as I wrote in my blog last week, is an Act of Impact that can make a huge difference in someone's life. When we help others in any way, we not only make a positive impact on their lives, but we also feel good about ourselves. Saying Hello First is a small gesture, but it can go a long way towards making someone feel welcome and valued. I still remember when I used to go with my younger daughter to drop her to school, she would greet everyone she saw on her way. Hello Un...
