This week while going through an interview of a leading actor, I read through the above quote which made me pause, think and reflect on what's going on in my life. In our quest for fulfilment and purpose, we often overlook a profound truth : what we seek is actually seeking us, things that we most want also want us. Just like any other art form, the above quote, written by 13th-century Persian poet Rumi, can be interpreted in many different ways. The way I interpret the principle of “what you seek is seeking you” is about listening to our intuition, pursuing our dreams, creating our ideal reality, and knowing that the things that call to us are calling us for a reason. They are part of our purposeful path in this lifetime. It invites us to embrace a perspective that opens up new possibilities and transforms our approach to life. The energy we put forth into the world through our thoughts, emotions, and actions plays a crucial role in shaping our reality. When we set a clear intention and align ourselves with it, we create a magnetic force that draws the desired outcomes towards us.
By cultivating a mindset focused on positivity, abundance, and self-belief, we attract opportunities, relationships, and experiences that align with our desires. This principle does not imply that we can simply sit back and wait for things to magically happen. It requires active participation in our own lives. We must take inspired action, make choices aligned with our goals, and be open to seizing the opportunities that come our way. I believe Everyone has an inner GPS, It’s that wise inner voice that talks to us. When we have a desire, it’s coming from a deeper level. It’s kind of like a longing. It’s seeking us. Life rarely unfolds according to our precise plans. The path to our desires may twist and turn, presenting unforeseen challenges and detours. In these moments, it is essential to trust the process and surrender to the flow of life. By releasing our grip on control, we open ourselves up to unforeseen opportunities and blessings that may be even greater than what we initially sought. We learn to recognize and appreciate the synchronicities, signs, and lessons that come our way, understanding that they are integral parts of our growth and evolution. This shift in perspective allows us to navigate life with grace and resilience, finding beauty and purpose in every experience.
When we experience joy or passion, that’s always a sign that we are aligned with our purpose or what is seeking us. When we are on track with seeking the things that seek us, the universe sends us signs to let us know that we are on the right path. We might experience funny coincidences, meet the right person, find the perfect book, hear a song that gives us a message, or get a genius idea out of nowhere. “It’s kind of like something is guiding us.” When we have a big desire that maybe feels a little too big or even impossible, it’s easy to get caught up on the how. It might even be what stops us from going after the things we want in the first place because it doesn’t feel realistic unless we have a strategically mapped out plan. I have experienced we don’t need to worry about having all the answers in order to make progress. “We don’t have to know how to get there, We only have to know the what. The how will be shown because it’s seeking us.” And for that we have to be open to receiving the help and little nudges and clues for our next steps. When we are open, it will find us, We can’t even imagine how big that help can be. The things we seek in life, our purpose, our desires, our dreams, are working just as hard to get to us. It just takes a little trust and a sprinkle of patience. Embrace the Journey, Trust the Process, and Allow the Magic of Life to Unfold.
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!
