Freedom to Get Inspired!

This morning while going through Newspapers & various messages shared over WhatsApp, I came across three stories which I felt were truly inspirational and thought of sharing with you all. The first story is of Murlikant Petkar, a war hero and the winner of India's first-ever Paralympics gold medal. He won the gold in the 50m freestyle (swimming) in 1972 in Heidelberg, Germany with then world record time. And that after he has sustained multiple bullet wounds, nine to be precise, in the 1965 India-Pakistan war. That he was alive was a miracle. But he did not give up and went on to win multiple international medals thereafter to make his feat one of the greatest ever achievements in the history of Indian sport. It involved a huge amount of hard work and it was all about passion and determination to Not Give Up. The will to do something for the country, even Nine Bullets could not stop him. There was never an option to give up. He started swimming as a sport after his injuries, because it was a means to get back to an active life. A means to survive, to do something worthwhile. Inspiration from the above story, In the face of adversity, embracing the spirit of " *Never Give Up"* ignites a relentless drive within us. With determination as our fuel and resilience as our armor, we push past obstacles, proving that our dreams are worth the relentless pursuit. Remember, when we hold onto that unwavering belief, we can conquer the unimaginable and turn the impossible into reality.

The next story is of all time Tennis Great, Novak Djokovic on the importance and power of Discipline. How much Discipline. In January 2012, he beat Nadal in the finals of the Australian Open. The match lasted five hours and fifty three minutes - the longest match in Australian open history, and the longest Grand Slam singles final in the Open Era. Many commentators had called that match the single greatest match of all time. After he won, he sat in the locker room in Melbourne. He wanted one thing: to taste chocolate. He hadn't tasted it since the Summer of 2010. His Physio, Miljan brought him a candy bar. He broke off one square - one tiny square - and popped it into his mouth, let it melt on his tongue. That was all he would allow himself. That is what it had taken to get to Number one. Inspiration from the above story, the *"Power of Discipline"* is a force that transforms dreams into reality, cultivating unwavering focus and unwavering determination. It paves the path to success, revealing the true potential that lies within us. Embrace discipline, and we will wield the key to unlocking a life of purpose and achievement.
The next story is of 6 years old, Arin whose sporting Mom, also our Advisory Board Member, today shared a travelogue of her son. Arin, an avid traveller, recently set off on the exhilarating Ruinsara Lake Trek in Uttarakhand - a challenging trek for a 6-year-old, especially when the advised age of Trekker is 12 years and above. Arin, became a writer when was 5 years old. His book, 'The Curious Little Bud' made it to #29 on Amazon's Hot New Releases. A Bestseller at the age of 5!! Wow! Arin, on his 6th B'day dedicated himself to spreading the joy of reading, curiosity and imagination through his initiative 'Million Books for a Million Kids'. Arin is now inspiring All to collect as many books for as many deserving kids. Inspiration from the above story, *"Age is just a Number - All the Limitations are Only in Our Mind."* Our abilities and potential remain boundless, regardless of the years that pass. Embrace the limitless possibilities that lie ahead, for age is truly just a number in the grand journey of life. On this significant day of Independence, let us cherish the profound freedom to get inspired. May this liberty to seek inspiration fuel our aspirations, enabling us to shape a brighter tomorrow. As we celebrate our nation's journey, let the power of inspiration guide us towards greater heights. Happy Independence Day to All!
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!
