Face Your Fears, Be Fearless!

This week I went through a video wherein Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian, shared that 85% of our Anxieties or Fears Never Happen! So the remaining 15%, 90% of it we can manage! So our worries really don't manifest at all. Yet, these unfounded anxieties/fears often hold us captive, preventing us from taking risks, pursuing our dreams, and living our lives to the fullest. We all grapple with Many Fears such a Fear of Unknown, Fear of Failure, Fear of Rejection, Fear of getting opinionated etc etc. Fear can manifest itself in various ways, from mild apprehension to debilitating phobias. It can whisper doubts in our minds, causing us to question our abilities and hesitate before taking action. It can paint vivid pictures of worst-case scenarios, paralyzing us with dread and uncertainty. The problem with fear is that it thrives on avoidance. I have been in sales for over three decades, I have seen most while projecting the sales numbers, try as much to be conservative in the garb of being realistic. They are scared of the consequences if the numbers do not happen. Hence, avoid taking bold bets. The more we shy away from our fears, the bigger they loom in our minds. This can create a vicious cycle that is difficult to break free from. But the truth is, most of our fears are unfounded. They are based on what-ifs and maybes, not in reality. We worry about things that might never happen, or we exaggerate the negative consequences of things that do happen. Have the Courage to Face Your Fears.

I believe Being Fearless doesn't mean that we never feel fear. It means that we don't let fear control us. It means that we acknowledge our fears, but we don't let them dictate our actions. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. A brave person is not someone who never feels afraid, but someone who is willing to move forward in spite of their fears. As Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, a revered military leader, once said, "Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision." There are many ways to cultivate courage. One way is to face our fears head-on. This can be difficult, but it is often the most effective way to overcome them. I have always relied on my Gut Feel while facing my Fears head on. If I believe in something, I set aside my fears and believe in the philosophy of 'Just Do It'. Another way to build courage is to practice small acts of bravery every day. This week I conducted a Survey in a few of the WhatsApp Groups. Many responded, but many just did not respond. I spoke to few of them, while few were just lazy, but many voiced their fears of consequences if they voiced their opinion. They did not want anyone to frame a view about them and hence did not respond. Remember, many of us never asked questions to our Teacher/Professor because of the Fear of getting opinionated. I personally feel these fears are unfounded. I feel taking such small steps of voicing our opinions/asking questions helps us participate and overcome these unfounded fears.
I have personally experienced that the rewards of being fearless are immense. When we overcome our fears, we open ourselves up to a world of opportunities & possibilities. We become more confident, more resilient, and more capable of achieving our goals. Fearless people are more likely to take risks, to pursue their dreams, and to live their lives to the fullest. They are the ones who make a difference in the world. Being a Startuprenure, I believe has been my most difficult and rewarding journey so far. As a Startuprenure, we are supposed to challenge the status quo and walk through the uncharted territory with no defined precedents. This requires an immense amount of courage and confidence in our abilities to face the fear of failure. In our Startup Jeevitam, we are trying to create a culture where we encourage everyone to try new ways of doing things and think about scale which has no precedent. So if we want to live a more fulfilling life, we have to start by being fearless. Let's not allow fear to hold us back from achieving our dreams. Let's Face our fears head-on, and live our life with courage. Let All of Us Be Fearless And Live a Life of Joy & Fulfillment.
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!
🏃🏽😊
