In today's article in a leading News Portal & Magazine *Swarajya* Myself & Rameesh Kailasam talk about the recent Women Reservation Bill that has the empowering potential to bring focus back to this important half of the population. It can also give a shot in the arm towards bringing together Government, Multilateral Institutions, Self Help Groups, CSRs, Industry, Startups, and Academia to the Goal of *Ab Har Bhartiya Nari Banegi Atmanirbhar*. Besides, we also talk about the altered Slogan "Beti Bachao, Beti Padao, Beti ko Swawlambi Banao", reflecting the push for girls to become Self-Reliant. *Swawlambi Betiyan*, puts forward succinctly that girls are valuable for the development of the country. More importantly, what needs to be undertaken is the step to empower all the women with literacy programs that lay emphasis around *Digital and Financial Awareness* which in turn will open up the path towards *Livelihoods* and Self-reliance. I personally believe having meaningful conversations and by not blaming others, we can bring in more girls and women to self reliance and increased women Workforce Participation in India and across the world.
A Meaningful Conversation for me is an exchange of thoughts, ideas, and emotions that fosters genuine connection and understanding between people. It involves active listening, empathy, and open communication to explore important topics or share meaningful experiences. Such conversations I have seen often leave a lasting impact and contribute to personal growth and building meaningful relationships. In our fast-paced and technology-driven world, genuine conversations have become increasingly rare. In our Startup Jeevitam, we believe it's important to create awareness among the Girls & Women about the emerging Livelihood opportunities through Digital & Financial Literacy Programs. In the last few months we have delivered Financial & Literacy In Person Awareness Programs to over 2 Lakh Women & Propose to do another 5 Lakh in the coming months. We believe these awareness programs have triggered lots of conversations among the women, however much much more needs to be done with the support of Government, Regulators, CSRs, Academia & Industry. We believe actively listening and engaging in conversations, we gain wisdom, empathy, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. Embracing Meaningful Conversations Empowers us to Lead Fulfilling Lives both Professionally and Personally.
I believe when something like increasing women Workforce Participation is not working, the easiest thing for us is to blame others, we can blame people, we can blame society, we can blame the administration, we can blame the country, we can blame the pandemic but not blame ourselves and that takes away our power to get better results in every aspect of our life. We all need to introspect when things do not go the way we expected, make changes wherever required, focus on fixing the problem and Take Charge. In our article we have given a three pronged possible strategy for girls & women to take charge of their lives. First, Work From Home/Work From anywhere is now an acceptable legal working practice. These practices give women/girls the choice and flexibility to choose their own work lives as well as balance their work and personal responsibilities more effectively. Second, GiG Economy Working opportunities are empowering women to become Self Entrepreneurs and revolutionising the way women/girls work and live. Third, post pandemic world has now become one Marketplace, opening up a host of opportunities for girls and women from all walks of life. By embracing self-accountability, we break free from the cycle of blame and empower ourselves to overcome obstacles and create positive change. I am the proud Father of two *Swawlambi Betiyan* and my Wife is *Atmanirbhar Bhartiya Nari*
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!
