Happy New Year 2024!

I have been writing my Sunday Blogs with the theme *Keep Moving & Smiling* for over seven years now. On the last day of the Year I thought of sharing a compilation of My Sunday Blogs for the Year 2023 with You All. While going through my Blogs of the year 2023, there were three broad themes which emerged for the Year 2024. First, I believe *Uncertainty will be theme* for the Year 2024. In the Year 2024, there will elections in around 50 Nations across the world including two largest demoracies ie India and US. These elections bring lot of Uncertainty along with them. In these elections, who will win and lose is always anyone's guess and pre & post election activities bring along with them a fair amount of instability in important decision making. Besides, the Global Conflicts like Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Gaza etc also bring along with them fair amount of uncertainty. Will these conflicts escalate, when will they cease is always anybody's guess. Also, post pandemic world is now one Marketplace which means global economies are more interlinked and with global headwinds not very favorable, uncertainty is also a key factor in the Global Markets. I believe Keep Moving Forward with Uncertainty will be the Mantra for the Year 2024.

Second, I believe *Change will also be the theme* for the Year 2024. During the pandemic, change was forced on all of us. We learnt to work remotely, embraced digital connections and accepted the new opportunities, grudgingly. In the Year 2023, many of us went back to our comfort zones without realizing that post pandemic, change which was constant is more profound now. The world is now one Marketplace moving at a much faster pace. Many of us are still not understanding that the arrival of AI giants like ChatGPT and Bard isn't just a technological shift, it's a tsunami about to reshape the very fabric of work and life. These platforms aren't just clever chatbots; they're capable partners, efficient assistants and creative engines waiting to be unleashed. While 2023 taught us resilience, 2024 demands evolution. The danger lies in mistaking our current "reasonable success" for the pinnacle of achievement. Clinging to outdated methods, even if they're comfortable, will blind us to the missed opportunities. This isn't just about embracing new tools; it's about questioning everything we thought we knew and venturing into the uncharted territory of AI-powered possibilities. It's time to shed the comfort blanket of familiarity and embrace the exhilarating, transformative winds of change.
Third, I believe *Self-Development which includes both Physical & Mental Wellness, will be the theme* for the Year 2024. Like every year, Most of us had our fair share of ups and downs in the Year 2023. With its fair share of uncertainty and change, Self Development will be the focus for most in the Year 2024. Like many, I spent most of my December to reflect on the year gone by, it's highlights, disappointments and lessons to be learned. I believe, I accomplished a great deal in 2023, but it felt gritty rather than enjoyable. Throughout the year, I was busy, constantly making task lists and getting things done. I learnt to keep my mouth shut, when shit is happening around me. I also learnt the hard way to Never tell anyone what I am doing, until it's done. In Life, I have also understood when to stop arguing with people and simply let them be wrong. Like these, I believe there will be learnings for many of us which I believe, we will carry in the Year 2024. In the New Year, we have to learn to focus not only on our physical health but also on our Mental Wellness. We have to stop blaming others for our failures as it takes away our transformative power to change ourselves. And most importantly, we have to constantly Unlearn, Learn and Relearn by reading and asking to not only stay relevant but survive in the fast evolving world. Life isn't fair, but it's still good. I believe Year 2024 will be the Year of *Uncertainty, Change & Self-Development* . Wishing You All a Very Happy & Prosperous New Year 2024.

Be Authentic, Do Uncomfortable Work And Surrender To The Outcome!

This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are.
