Always Do Closure!

Today marks the final day of the Financial Year 23-24, a pivotal moment for the closure of the fiscal cycle. Many of us have been diligently working over the past few days to ensure a seamless transition into the new financial year. Closures, in my opinion, are critical milestones that represent the first step towards achieving success. Without proper closure, we risk becoming stuck in a perpetual loop, unable to effectively move forward and grow. Finding the closure we need is imperative, as it allows us to embrace the vast array of opportunities that lie ahead. In both our professional and personal lives, closures play a vital role in facilitating our evolution and progression. I have experienced when we strive to accomplish something monumental, something truly remarkable that pushes boundaries, it is essential to prioritize the practice of "Always Doing Closures." Failure to bring endeavors to a thoughtful conclusion can leave us floundering, spinning our wheels rather than charting a new course. Closures provide a sense of completeness and allow us to properly transition to the next phase or challenge. Without making the conscious effort to "close the book" on one chapter, it becomes very difficult to fully immerse ourselves in writing the next one.

We've all experienced it at one point or another: embarking on a new endeavor with enthusiasm, only to lose motivation and leave it unfinished somewhere along the way. As a Startupreneur for some time, initiating a new project or exploring the next groundbreaking idea fills me with the same exhilaration as falling in love - it's an emotionally charged experience, infused with the natural allure of novelty and possibility. However, as time passes, obstacles, walls, or fears often arise, impeding our progress and sapping our initial drive. Over the years, I've become increasingly aware of these patterns and have actively worked to overcome them. My current focus lies squarely on completing ongoing projects through to their conclusion before diving headlong into new ones. I strive to maintain a balanced perspective, tempering my natural optimism with a healthy dose of pragmatic realism. Nowadays, I make it an utmost priority to establish clear timelines and meticulously track all activities, ensuring that I resolutely finish what I start and consistently adhere to the principle of "Always Doing Closures." This mindset has helped me achieve much more follow-through and satisfaction in my work. While the thrill of the new will always be alluring, I've found that sticking with projects until their conclusion yields deeper fulfillment and sense of achievement in the long run. The wise Elias Disney once stated, "Let me tell you something about life... always finish what you start, and anything worth doing is worth doing well." I firmly believe that closures are paramount in every facet of our lives, be they personal or professional. If we have implemented significant changes to company policies or protocols, we must ensure proper communication occurs to all impacted parties. If we have entered into a new business agreement or partnership, we must ensure thorough documentation is completed and duly signed by all relevant parties. If we have embarked on a new personal relationship, we must invest quality time and sincere effort into nurturing it, allowing it to blossom. We all innately possess the ability to find closure on our own, often in ways we may have never imagined possible. Once we achieve that sense of closure, we must remember that we alone are responsible for this accomplishment, and we will be judged by the results of our efforts and the quality of our closures. Therefore, it is imperative that we adopt the mindset to "Always Finish Strong" in all our endeavors. Finding closure is a skill that requires patience, determination and at times, difficult decisions. However, building this crucial habit allows us to live with integrity, continually renewing ourselves through cycles of completion rather than remaining stuck amid a logjam of unfinished tasks. Doing closures well is what allows us to move forward with clarity and make space for what's next.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!
