This week while speaking to potential investors, potential clients, potential partners, I realised while sharing all the desired data, information required for them to take decisions, at the end I expected them to follow their heart and intuition while taking decisions. However, the mind needs to see things before believing that they are possible. It needs to see the proof that if they follow their heart and intuition, they will get the things they want to get. And since we have created a society that honors the servant – rational mind, and has forgotten the gift – the intuitive mind, as Albert Einstein said it so beautifully, we listen to our fearful mind more than we listen to our heart and intuition. It takes a lot of courage to not allow the noise of the rationale mind drown out our own inner voice. I believe if we follow our heart and intuition, we will always receive the things we wish to receive.
“Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs. In my life I have always listened to my heart more than my rational mind. I have seen following my heart is what determines my passion, my desire, and my love for people and things alike. Most people leave things to others, or to chance. Yes, our heart does speak to us, so next time we feel our heart yearn for something, remember that if we really truly desire an experience from the very depth of our being, then we are meant to have it. Settling for less than we deserve or truly desire simply because we feel scared to change our situation is not what we are here to do! When faced with a decision or conflict, our mind may come up with numerous, different and quite logical reasons why we should act as it advises, but if we listen to and trust our heart—however illogical or irrational it may seem—it is usually right and we are happier as a result.
If we only consider our gut or our heart or our head, we’ll miss out on a lot of important information. We’re apt to not feel in alignment about the path we choose. If we work to find a decision that our gut, heart, and head are in alignment with, we will feel a sense of all the lights turning on in our body. Our heads are programmed to keep us safe, to think of all the reasons why our guts and our hearts are wrong. I call the part of our mind that comes up with all the what-ifs and yeah-buts the Voice of Doubt. Any time we have a call that will take us into the unknown or asks us to let go of something that’s been important to us, the Voice of Doubt will appear. To soothe our inner Voice of Doubt, we need to learn how to respond to it with compassion, understand what it needs, and take steps to meet our many needs while also following our heart. If we keep paying attention, over and over and over again, to our gut and our heart and our head, we’ll be equipped to make wise decisions that take into account the fullness of who we are.
Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!
