This week at the Global Fintech Fest'24 in Mumbai, I witnessed firsthand the incredible power of technology to transform lives, particularly through digital payments. Yet, as I reflected on our progress, I couldn't help but think about the gap that still exists between those Blessed with a Good Life and our Vulnerable Segments ('Not Blessed' with a Good Life).While the ecosystem of Government, Corporates, Academia, Skilling, and Philanthropy work tirelessly to bridge this divide, I believe there's a crucial sixth partner missing - People Who are Blessed with a Good Life. It's time for us to step up and Give Back, focusing our efforts on helping vulnerable segments find sustainable livelihoods.
For those of us blessed with a good life, in my personal view can probably have two impactful ways to contribute: First, by leveraging our own professional networks to connect vulnerable individuals with job/work opportunities. Second, by making financial contributions to donate or sponsor a livelihood. These acts of kindness create profound and enduring positive change. Our startup, Jeevitam, is here to bridge this gap, helping those who wish to Give Back; find and support vulnerable individuals in their village, in their district, in their school, in their college, in their community or in their country, India. We encourage you to focus on helping one or more or as many vulnerable segments in places close to your heart. This week I saw this Ted Talk about the above. I could relate to it so much to my Journey. Authenticity for me is a collection of choices that we have to make every day. It’s all about the choice to show up and be real, to be and to let out true selves be seen. It is also about being true to who we really are. Authenticity is more than speaking; Authenticity is also about doing. Every decision we make says something about who we are. Authenticity starts in the heart.
