Dream Big And Never Give Up
Summary:
Yashasvi Jaiswal's journey from a small town in UP to scoring his fourth Test century in Australia exemplifies the power of dreaming big and never giving up. His story, paralleled with Jeevitam's startup journey, shows that with determination, hard work, and support from believers, impossible dreams can become reality.
- No dream is too big if we are willing to start small - whether we are from a small town or facing adversities, greatness can emerge from anywhere.
- Success comes to those who persist through setbacks with unwavering hard work and consistency, turning every obstacle into an opportunity.
- When preparation meets opportunity and we have people believing in your vision, seize the moment with both hands and magical transformations happen.
This week Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his fourth Test century in Perth against Australia - his first on Australian soil and third of 2024. His Cricketing journey began in Suriyawan, a small town in Uttar Pradesh, proving that greatness can emerge from anywhere. Born into modest means, Yashasvi and his father dared to dream the biggest dream possible - playing cricket for Team India. In a town where cricket fields were rare and proper training facilities non-existent, most would call this dream impossible. But Yashasvi believed in taking baby steps towards his giant leap - starting with rolled-up newspapers as cricket gear and an eleven-year-old's decision to leave for Mumbai. I firmly believe that When We dream, Why Dream Small? Dream the Impossible, however start with small steps.
Life in Mumbai tested young Yashasvi in ways he never imagined, but he refused to give up when things didn't go as planned - and they often didn't. Without money for proper housing, he slept under the open sky at Azad Maidan. His hard work never took a day off - practicing before sunrise with makeshift equipment like tin cans, battling through days without regular meals, all while being alone in a big city without familiar faces. His hard work, unwavering persistence and consistency remind us that every setback is a setup for an amazing comeback. Just like in our Startup journey with Jeevitam, where we have experienced that when one door closes, another one opens with even bigger opportunities. We believe, when we stay committed to our dreams, work hard and keep pushing forward, the universe conspires to make them come true.
The turning point in Yashasvi's journey came when cricket coach Jwala Singh spotted his raw talent at Azad Maidan. Rather than letting this moment slip by, Yashasvi seized the opportunity with both hands. He made the most of every training session, every piece of advice, and every match opportunity that came his way. Similarly, at Jeevitam, we've been blessed with mentors and supporters who believed in our vision. Investors who provided not just funds but invaluable guidance, partners who opened doors to new opportunities, and stakeholders who stood by us in challenging times. Our journey, like Yashasvi's, shows that when opportunity meets preparation and people believe in our dream, magical transformations happen. Dream Big, Work Hard, and Never Give Up – Success will Follow!
