Climbing Our Mountains: Unlocking Our Potential Through Self-Awareness

Over the long weekend, I found myself drawn to Brianna Wiest's transformative book "The Mountain Is You." As I turned each page, I felt like it was speaking directly to me. The central premise – that our dream life is within reach if we have the courage to claim it – offers hope to so many trapped in lives they don't enjoy, bound by family responsibilities and the vicious circle of EMI payments, they can't escape. I've seen many postpone the decision to live their full life by self-imposed resistance to change, citing seemingly valid reasons like waiting until their kids' education is complete or they've saved enough money. Wiest reveals how such self-sabotage reflects fear's hold on us. The book's insight that small actions can dissolve fear's power presents a pathway forward, transforming obstacles into opportunities for growth.

Wiest's insights offer powerful guidance for our professional lives. Her lesson about demanding our worth resonated deeply—accepting less than we deserve diminishes our value over time. This point was brilliantly echoed by one of our Advisory Board members in last week's strategy meeting. She champions radical honesty as the foundation of professional strength, showing how transparent communication builds resilient relationships. This year, Jeevitam is embracing this principle by launching "Jeevitam on the Go," enabling employees, partners, collaborators, and stakeholders access to metrics that matter to them, fostering unprecedented transparency. Wiest emphasizes that feeling stuck often reflects reluctance to release what no longer serves us. This wisdom is reflected in our 2025 theme of "Scale," prompting us to let go of relationships and ideas that don't align with this vision. By letting go of outdated approaches or comfortable but limiting business models, we create space for innovation and renewal, clearing the path toward greater impact.

On a personal level, Wiest's teachings offer transformative pathways to authentic living. Her insight about healing freeing our true self struck me profoundly—this means letting go of old habits where we held ourselves back. By focusing on what I am truly good at and what I enjoy doing has helped me evolve a clear roadmap of the life I am living & want to live. Equally powerful is her perspective on recurring life challenges as unlearned lessons that persist until addressed. Over the years I have learnt that by identifying repeating struggles in my life and exploring their origins through reflections or trusted conversations with my Mentor, I think I have gained some clarity needed to break free. These professional & personal transformations, while sometimes difficult, ultimately lead to greater wholeness and fulfillment. May we carry these lessons with us as we intentionally create the Life We've Always Wanted to Live.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!! 🏃🏽😊
