Many Times We Are Not Able to See What's in Front of Us

This week, while formulating the strategy for our Startup Jeevitam, my colleague pointed out a business opportunity that was right in front of us for months. We simply missed it in our quest to do more and in our daily work. This sparked reflection on a pattern I see everywhere. When professionals at different career stages approach me for my views on their way forward, I notice how many hesitate to seize visible opportunities, waiting for "something better" – often just an excuse to resist the accompanying change. Sometimes we're so focused on an imagined future that we don't realize we're in the middle of what we once prayed for. Our mental frameworks create blindspots that prevent us from seeing what's directly before us. These overlooked opportunities exist in all dimensions of our lives – personal, professional, and spiritual.

In professional contexts, this blindness often affects strategic planning. While formulating Jeevitam's strategy for this financial year, we're contemplating how to scale existing ideas and bring innovation to them, rather than constantly pursuing the entirely new. We're recognizing the untapped potential right before us – how we can leverage our current colleagues' strengths to bring out their best, maximize existing partnerships and collaborations, and enhance customer centricity with our present client base. This doesn't mean closing doors to new talent, fresh partnerships, or additional customers. Rather, it's about first seeing and nurturing what we already have. Organizations frequently overlook their internal expertise while seeking external solutions, underutilize established partnerships while chasing new ones, and neglect loyal customers while pursuing prospects. The most valuable assets in our professional lives are often those we've become too accustomed to seeing—they've become invisible through familiarity.

Our personal lives perhaps reveal this phenomenon most poignantly. While writing this blog, I realized I've overlooked the incredible fitness support system I always had right before me – one of the best Naturopaths guiding my journey and many more support systems, yet I haven't fully leveraged this blessing. Similarly, when reflecting on my family and friends, I recognize I have the very best I could ask for – a support system many would envy, though I sometimes take it for granted. Our Startup Jeevitam provides exactly what I once dreamed of – recognition, connections with exceptional people, and the opportunity to fulfill my purpose. These treasures weren't found in distant places but existed within my current circumstances, patiently waiting for my appreciation. We must thank the Almighty for these blessings hiding in plain sight. Open your eyes to what's already before you – the opportunities, relationships, and gifts you've overlooked might hold exactly what you've been searching all along.

Happy Sunday!! Keep Moving & Smiling!!🏃🏽😊
