Nothing is Impossible!

This week in one of the videos shared by my friend, 99 Years old woman was teaching yoga at her age and she believed that whole idea in her life had been that Nothing is Impossible. In the present ongoing pandemic, when the entire world is in transition, it's important for us to have faith that Nothing is Impossible. It's possible that we will find an antidote to the virus soon. It's possible for us to restart our business/job/livelihood or get into new business/job/livelihood. It's possible for us to acquire new skills/up-skill/reskill to stay relevant in the present fast-changing environment. It's possible for us to Work From Home and delivers the same output or even more as before the crisis. Nothing is Impossible; for me it is the desire to push ourselves further, to surpass our own limits set by us, and to break new ground. I believe there are ways that lead to everything, and if we have sufficient will, we will always have sufficient means. It is often merel...

Changing Landscape of Livelihood!

Saving Lives and Saving Livelihood to Save Lives, has been the focus on all in the last three months. However, the entire workforce across the world is in transition. I am sharing a few changes in the Livelihood landscape. First, there is a transition of Workforce from Sectors which are facing slowdown to Sectors where there are increased activities. Secondly, Workers have reached or are heading back home and are looking for work nearby. Thirdly, Entrepreneurship is seeing an uptrend due to lack of jobs and will be the way forward for many. Fourthly, as Work From Home becomes a New Normal, it will see a rise of Distributed Workforce which is transitionary & invisible, opening work opportunities for many. And Lastly, Gig Economy Workers & Freelancers will be much in demand. However, this changing landscape of livelihood will be difficult and at the same time will be full of opportunities for many. A lot of People will have to Unlearn old ways of doing things which will be most...

Be Open, Be Impatient, Be Hopeful!

This week Google CEO Sundar Pichai had a special message for the graduating class of 2020, urging them to be open, be impatient and be hopeful, and exuded confidence that they have a “chance to change everything”. I believe his message is relevant for all of us in context present ongoing crisis. For me Being Open means welcoming new ideas, arguments, and information that we typically do not align with. It is so important for all of us in today's context to be open, to step out of our comfort zones, to consider & adapt new ideas and different perspectives. I believe Impatience is a motivator. Inspiration spawns the desire and impatience gets us acting on that desire. If we find ourselves generally impatient, which I am many times, it might be a signal that we have untapped creative energy bubbling inside of us. We need to Release this energy and put it to use! Impatient people like me are often happy to wait. But then we want a form of guarantee that the wait will pay off. Ove...

Unlearn Learn Relearn!

I have been speaking to many since the onset of the present ongoing crisis and one thing which I see many struggling with is to unlearn what they had previously learned, learn new ways of doing things because of a fast-changing environment, and evolve constantly by relearning new to stay relevant. In the last few months, we have seen many businesses disappear because of the failure of their leaders to unlearn what has made them successful. Besides many are losing their livelihood because of not learning & relearning new skills and their employable skills become less valuable in the context of the present crisis, or even getting completely replaced. I have seen many are under extreme pressure at work, and are still not listening or recognizing the emerging needs of others. Over the years I have learned that We always need to Unlearn what is holding us back, and we need to Learn & Relearn what will help us move forward towards success. This learning came handy in this crisis fo...
