Execution is the Key!

This week when the second wave of Cases is coming up, one thing which is being applauded by all is the seamless Execution of the biggest immunization drive in India. More than 55 million doses of vaccines have been administered in India in what is the world's biggest inoculation drive. I still remember in my Corporate Career, Executing the Idea of taking out a *Safety Yatra* across Andhra Pradesh while trying to increase the reach to Tier 2 & 3 cities. In my review, I was told that it's not only that Ideation is important, also more important is the seamless Execution of the Idea. That statement stood with me and I believe Execution is the Key to Success. In our Startup Jeevitam, we believe We have to have a Big Vision, Mission Livelihood For All and take very small steps to get there. We strongly believe We have to be Visionary and Gigantic in terms of our Aspirations but We have to be Humble as We Execute. It's all about a lot of little innovations: every day, every w...

Love What You Do!

This week My Younger daughter Ira, made her first Fondant Cake on the occasion of her Mother's B'day. The best thing was that she was Enjoying what she was doing! I keep saying that this ongoing crisis is giving each one of us a rare opportunity to Reset the Way We Work and Live. And while we do so, it will be good to do things we always wanted to do at work or in Life. Many of us get into careers in the early stages of our life not realizing what we love doing and we just continue with the same for years together. Many of us get into work so much that we do not have time for things we always wanted to do. We have to believe in ourselves and do not let fear, our own sense of responsibility, or insecurity should stop us from doing things we always wanted to do in Work & Life. Passion With Purpose, in short Love, What You Do.  "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the onl...

Great Things Happen When We Move!

Image
This week I saw one of the advertisements unveiled by Shell in its latest campaign, ‘Great Things Happen When We Move' to celebrate the Indomitable Spirit of Indians, their Dreams, and Aspirations along with their Inspiring Journeys. This film highlights the story of Yogita Raghuvanshi, India’s first female truck driver who could not pursue her career in law as she took the responsibility of being a Single Mother after her husband passed away. She chose to get behind the wheel for a brighter future for her children. Busting stereotypes, today, Yogita is a Role Model to many. She believes that Luck is something we have to create for ourselves. Her Dreams are Unleashed and she is Flying Free. This week we also celebrated International Woman's Day. We at Jeevitam, conducted a Webinar with a powerful panel of five accomplished Women who shared their Journeys with all the Participants and how Wom en in today's times find a sustainable livelihood. Besides, we also launched first ...

Reflect, Re-Engage, Reimagine, and Reboot!

This week my Parents got the Vaccination done, it was quite relieving as they are the ones whom we all had tried to Protect in the ongoing crisis. However, it also made me think that finally crisis probably is coming to an end. To my mind any crisis like the ongoing one plays out over three-time frames: Respond, in which we deal with the present situation and somehow manage continuity; Recover, during which we learn and emerge stronger; and Thrive, where we prepare for and shape the “Next New Normal.” I believe in our ongoing Recovery phase we are having four critical actions: Reflect, Re-Engage, Reimagine, and Reboot. In my view, these actions are & will bridge the crisis response to the New Normal by laying the foundation to Thrive in the aftermath of the crisis. I think in the recent past we all had time to Reflect on What Next. We now somehow know what has worked, what has been our learnings, and what has been missed in our Response to the Crisis. I remember actually havin...
