End of Year Self Reflection!

Image
This week I saw a post shared by one of my friends, Dr. Glenn where he shared that 'When We are too Busy to Reflect, that's exactly When We Need To.' He shares in his post that Reflection can be a course corrector, validate our current trajectory, or be the catalyst for a whole new direction. The year 2021 is coming to a close and I believe it's time for all of us to do Self Reflection. I feel personal that this Year 2021 was a Year of Transition in a Big Way. The crisis that started last year continued and forced all of us to change in many ways. It's time for us to look inwards at what we did right, where we need to improve and what will like to do both Personally & Professionally in the Year 2022. Reflecting on what we took from 2021 is the best way we can prepare to make the Year 2022 even better. 'Adopting Reflection as a core practice leads to better decision making, greater resilience in the face of change, and focused momentum to achieve the goals mo...

Better Communication Makes Everything Better!

Image
Today Morning while going through LinkedIn, I came across this post made by Matt Higgins on How Better Communication Makes Everything Better. He talks about the cause of - and solution to - most human problems are one and the same. Communication. He says, before searching for an answer to whatever dilemma we are facing, we need to ask ourselves first: would better communication help? The answer is almost always yes. I felt this post is very relevant in today's times as we all are struggling to straddle between online and offline means of communication. We all are trying to Build and Retain that personal connection with People in our Personal & Professional Lives. I believe in some way or the other we all are trying to figure out better ways to stay in touch, better ways to communicate with people in the New Normal, to Make Everything Better. I have been traveling and meeting people in person for the last few weeks. These meetings were much longer than usual and more personal th...

Evolving & Reinventing With The Changing Times!

This week I read through the list of Super Women in Forbes Magazine who have taken charge, coped with crises, and scripted their success. One story which stood out for me was that of Arundhati Bhattacharya - who lead the journey of India's largest Bank, State Bank of India through its toughest phase - decided, at 64, to reinvent and challenge herself in the world of information technology and became Chairperson & CEO of Salesforce. Another article in Fortune India Magazine on how one of the oldest Conglomerate Tata Group under its Chairman N. Chandrasekaran is spearheading a massive transformation by adding new businesses and strengthening old ones. So whether it's an Individual or a Corporate, We are never too old to Evolve & Reinvent Ourselves. Commit to Reinvent Yourself, to know that real growth happens in a place of discomfort. ~ Les Brown. Unexpected events like the ongoing crisis have disrupted our habitual routines, jolted us out of our comfort zones, and forced...

Hybrid is the New Normal!

Image
I have been traveling, meeting government officials, clients, partners in the last 10 days and I was enjoying Meeting them all after a long time. Yes meeting them in person was definitely different than meeting them over Google Meet. I think also somewhere in my mind it has been playing to meet as many before the new virus locks us down again. Last Year, the onset of the crisis forced all of us to do almost everything digitally. Meet over Zoom/Google Meet, Buy Groceries/Food/Clothes online, Teach/Learn Digitally, Do Webinars, Transact Online, etc. We learned everything new & online as we had no other option, it was important for our survival. New Business Models/New ways of working/learning/living emerged. Suddenly many of us became aware of the best of both the Digital World & the Physical World, and a combination of both the world, New Hybrid World started emerging. Hybrid is going to be the New Normal. While I was traveling, meeting people in person, I was also doing everyth...
