Follow Your Passion!

This week we were working on a Leadership Summit organized by one of the Premiere Educational institutions as their Strategic Partner. Listening to various Esteemed Panelists at such a Summit is always a very learning and enriching experience.  One of the Panelists advised all the Students to follow their passion and make it their Profession. He gave the example of one of his friends who had quit his job to start his own Travel company as he himself was passionate about traveling. Many of us spend a good part of our life working for a living towards a career/profession/business which we may not be very passionate about. In my view Passion is what gives us boundless energy, intense almost single-minded focus, and the willpower to overcome even the most daunting obstacles. I believe we will not only like where we end up but also enjoy the journey along the way when we Follow our Passion. 'If you want to be great at something, make it Everything.' ~ Roger Federer. Connecting The Dots!

This week I was again reading one of my favorite books 'The Serendipity Mindset', The Art and Science of Creating Good Luck written by Dr. Christian Busch. There is so much I could relate to my life and the ongoing crisis. I am sharing a few excerpts from one of the Chapters of the Book. Connecting Dots is all about how we frame the world – establishing a core motivation, seeing and connecting the dots, turning them into opportunities, and (potentially) accelerating and amplifying them. We are more than two years into the Ongoing crisis and we certainly can connect the Dots as to how the world has changed forever. Lockdowns literally forced all of us to pause and reflect on what was working and what was not working. It made us all Work from Home/Anywhere, making World one Marketplace. Experts predict 'Work from Anywhere' will be the Normal way of Working in the next few years, thus giving everyone equal opportunity to work irrespective of the place they are born or liv...

Stay Relevant!

This week I came across an article in a leading daily on how various Hotels are adding new products/services to Stay Relevant in the ongoing crisis. Ironically it took a crisis for them to launch new products & services to survive. In the fast-changing, disruptive and uncertain world, Staying Relevant has now become a necessity to Survive and Grow. Let us Imagine our provisional store next door, which will be irrelevant soon if he refuses to offer free delivery services at the same or better speed as various ECommerce platforms are doing now. I keep saying Work From Home/Anywhere is making World One Marketplace, and disrupting the Way We Work & Live. We All need constantly adapt ourselves to fast-moving opportunities to Survive & Thrive, it's no more a choice. Also, it becomes all the more important to be aware of what's happening around us, Keep Learning News Ways of Working & Living, and to Keep Asking ourselves & others what will it take for all of us to...

Prepare & Practice for Courage & Confidence!

This week I read through a post on LinkedIn by Mansi Tripathy about the 5 Lessons she Learned from her Father Dr. Motilal Madan, who was conferred with Padamshri recently. All lessons shared by her were insightful, however, one of the Lessons about 'Content is the Key to Self-Confidence' I thought was very relevant in the context of the ongoing crisis. I believe to be Courageous & Confident is to trust in our own abilities and believe that we can do what we set our minds to. In her post, Mansi shares one of the conversations with her Father wherein that conversation provided her the Ultimate Mantra of Preparing & Practicing Well. She further shares 'Be it Preparing for an interview with media, customer meeting, internal discussions, or any important conversation. Content is the most powerful spring of Confidence. So, if we want to become confident and courageous like nobody else, then we have started gathering information, intelligence, reference, inferences, etc. ...
