Think Beyond the Obvious!

We launched *Aarambh* Initiative in beginning of October to impact at least one Million Girls/Women become Self-Dependent. We have been working on two themes, 'Beti Padao Beti Bachao' & 'Beti ko Swawlambi Banao' (Educate the Girl, Save the Girl & Help them become Self-Dependent), was the obvious Next Step. Similarly, 'Main Atmanirbhar Bhartiya Nari' is the second obvious theme we have been working on to increase Women Workforce Participation in India. Everyone liked the two themes & our idea to make this a Nation-wide Movement. But we soon realised, that merely creating these two themes will not make this Initiative a Movement. Clearly we needed to look beyond the obvious for what has been missing till now to help increase the Women Workforce Participation in India. We had to keep our mind’s eye open to seeing things others didn't see or have missed. Forming new perspectives using what we see, that others missed, can possibly give us totally dif...

The Harder We Work, the Luckier We Get!

I have been on the road literally since the beginning of this month meeting as many partners associated with our *Aarambh* Audacious Project to Impact at least one Million Girls/Women become Self-Dependent. And this week, was really hectic where I was driving over 100+ kms every day and meeting as many Good People who will be becoming part of Aarambh  Initiative and helping take it to next level. After soft launch of *Aarambh* on 2nd October, we will be now launching this Initiative in the middle of February at a scale which will be really Audacious.  I personally believe that the Harder We Work, the Luckier We Get, meaning that behind what looks like sudden success is often a lot of hard work, trial and error, and failures. Harder we work, the more good ideas and chances we may make for ourselves! And the reward for hard work well done is the opportunity to do more. I have experienced through our Startup Jeevitam, far and away the best gift that life has to offer us is ...

Trust Your Intuition!

Our Startup Jeevitam launched Aarambh  on 2nd October, a Initiative to help over one Million Women/Girls find Sustainable Livelihood, help in Capacity Building, Financial Inclusion & Access to Government Schemes, with the objective of making *Girls/Women become Self-Dependent ie 'Swawlambi' or 'Atmanibhar'. When we launched this Initiative we had this Intuition that we are on to something Big, something New, something Impactful and probably this Initiative will become a Movement. Over the years as a Startupreneur We have learnt to Trust our Intuition, We don't rely on external validation when We are working on any new Idea, as We know it's early and many don't have our gut feeling to start something New. As Startupreneur, We are always conscious of the fact that our Stakeholders are looking for outsized returns. And for that to happen, We have over the years learnt to train our mind to Trust Our Intuition and then go all out for the opportunity we have...

Always Have a Plan B!

Today I went through a video posted by Jaspreet Bindra on LinkedIn wherein he shared five reasons, why growing up in India helped Indian-Origin Executives to rise to the very top of Big Tech. One of the reasons he shared was that of circumstances in India pushing Indians to get trained, to Always Have a Plan B. What it essentially means is that many times things will not go as per the plan (which in India happens occassionally), in that case we should always have a alternate plan of action, which is the Plan B. I once saw a quote that goes like this: 'Life is like a biscuit - it never breaks in the direction which we wish it to break. ' Life does not always go according to our best laid plans, and many a time the twist and turns of life are very unpredictable, resulting in our plan A not materialize according to our desires. That is why I believe everyone in their Business & Life should always have a contingency plan, i.e. a plan B. The plan B is what will be done if for r...
