This week Madam Draupadi Murmu was declared the 15th President of India, making history that makes her the first citizen of India. She is a woman of many firsts and has showcased grit and perseverance throughout her life. She is the first Tribal President and the Second Woman President of Independent India. I believe she will be an Inspiration for Girls & Women of India who wish to make a mark in their lives and help Increase Female Workforce Participation in India. Before I share my views on Female Workforce Participation, wish to share with all that in my Family the Female Workforce Participation is complete. My wife who is a graduate of Commercial Arts discovered her passion for Teaching Pre-Primary Students. Post Marriage, she did her B.Ed and has been a Teacher now for over a decade. My Elder Daughter is a Lawyer, working for a Multinational as a Digital Nomad. And my younger daughter is Cloud Kitchen Entrepreneur and now doing her graduating with a specialization in Ent...

Find the Joy in Your Life!

This week my younger daughter scored 97.5% in her 12th Class CBSE Board Exams. In the last two years, she has not only scored good marks in her Exams, but she also became a Cloud Kitchen Entrepreneur and she got admission to the University of her choice. As a Father, I find Joy in my life as my daughter turns out to be a good human being and gets success in her life. Besides, this week I again saw the movie 'Bucket List' in which Morgan Freeman tells his Friend to "Find the Joy in Your Life." In other words, we all need to figure out what makes us find joy in our lives and keep doing those things as much as we can. Think about the last time we laughed, did something that was really fun, or had a great time spent together with Family & Friends. We all should never stop seeking that joy and making it a regular part of our lives. We all need to just follow our joy. Always. I think that if we do that, life will take us on the course that it's meant to take us. In...

Keep Moving the Needle!

When we try solving the Big Problem, it often feels futile to try. Because if we try and we don't succeed, it seems like a wasted effort. But it's not, I strongly believe sometimes moving the Needle is Enough. I keep telling my Team that in our Startup Jeevitam we are trying to solve the Big Problem of helping Vulnerable Segments find Sustainable Livelihood. We are on a Mission for Livelihood for All. To accomplish this audacious goal, we need to change the way Work Seekers and Work Providers find each other. Not an easy feat gave the size of the Problem and the fact that People in the Industry are used to doing things in a certain way. As we consider the hugeness of our goal, one of my colleagues this week asked, "Is it realistic to think we're going to change the way Vulnerable Segments find Sustainable Livelihood?" My answer was, "No, we're not going to change everything". What we are going to do is Move the Needle. The more we Move the Needle, ...

Find Your Greatness!

This week I stumbled upon this advertisement released by Nike in the Year 2012. It's a really very inspiring advertisement and very relevant in today's world where New Normal is shaping up. I am sharing a few excerpts from the advertisement. "Somehow we’ve come to believe that greatness is a gift reserved for a chosen few, for the superstars, and the rest of us can only stand by watching. We can forget that. Greatness is not some rare DNA strand, not some precious thing. Greatness is no more unique to us than breathing. We’re all capable of it. All of us. The truth is greatness is for all of us. This is not about lowering expectations, it's about raising them for every last one of us. Because greatness is not in one special place, and it is not in one special person. Greatness Makes its own way. Greatness doesn't need an audience. Greatness isn't born, it's made. Greatness isn't defined by judges. Greatness doesn't have one address. Greatness does...

Change Your Perspective!

We all face drama & problems in various forms every day. It isn’t easy to change our perspective to remain positive when such drama & problems occur. Someone is upset at me…things aren’t going as We planned…someone is blaming you for their own failures…why don’t people communicate clearly…someone is attacking you personally. Sometimes this might all be in one day! As Captain Jack Sparrow so wisely shares, “The problem is not the problem. Your attitude about the problem is the problem.” When we are in a state of high emotion, logic often goes out the window. This can push us down a spiral of negative thoughts. Over the years I have tried to respond than react to such situations by changing my perspective, changing my emotional and mental inputs. A change in perspective means seeing things in a new way to look at our problems and a very powerful one in life and business. Change Your Perspective. Change Your Experience. "The severity of your problems is a matter of perspecti...
